Inman News By Mrs. James McMahan Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Tjessem and girls of Maywood. 111., came Sat urday afternoon to visit in the home of Mrs Tjessem's parents Mr and Mrs. E E. Clark. Mrs. Robert Stevens and son of Springfield and Mrs Nobert Clark of O'Neill were Thursday callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs E. E. Clark. Lyle Pyle and daughter, Barbara, came Friday from Lincoln to join Mrs. Pyle, who is visiting in the home of her parents. Mr. and Mr*. John Reimer. The Pyles are from Bayside, Va., where he is in the navy. Mr and Mrs. Gerald Snyder and girls of O’Neill accompanied by Mrs. Ray Siders and Marilyn of Inman left Tuesday for Du Bois, Wyo., where they will visit Mrs Siders brother, Lee Taylor and family. Mrs C. C. llaekett and family left Tuesday for their home in Chamberlain, S.D., after spending a couple of weeks in the home of Mrs. Hackett’s mother, Mrs. Eliz abeth Morsbach. . Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Crosser and sons of Tekarrtah came Tuesday evening to visit in the homes of Mr and Mrs. David Morsbach and Mary and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mil ler. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Broeker and Craig, Mr. and Mrs. John Schaller of Bloomfield and Rev. and Mrs Green and Tammy of Page were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anthony and family. Mr. and Mrs Albert Anthony and family and Mrs. Mernon Chase were Sunday evening guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs Dale Mat schullat and family at Page. Jimmie Sawyer of the U S. navy came Sunday evening to spend two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sawyer. Mrs. Amie Mace and Dick, Mrs Etta Brittell, Mrs. Lloyd Brittell and Mike Yantzi of O’Neill were Saturday morning callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Mors bach. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Cadwall ader of Newport spent the weekend hero in the Kenneth Smith and Charles Cadwallader homes. Mr and Mrs. Ralph Brittell and daughter, Betty Jean, of Albion were Inman visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Scholz of Neligh and Mr. and Mrs. William Morsbach and daughter of Clearo water spent Sunday in the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Morsbach. Mr. and Mrs M. M. Mr and Mrs. William McElvain of Omaha spent the weekend in the James Coventry home here and with relatives in O’Neill. Mr and Mrs. Albert Reynolds and family spent Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hull at Redbird. Mrs. Francis Gallagher went to Grand Island Friday morning where she met her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Gallagher and family of Ontario, Calif., who will spend a few days in the home of Mr. Gallagher’s par ents, Mr and Mrs John Gallagher. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Couch and son, Bruce, of Geneva spent the weekend here with relatives. Atkinson News Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Runnels of Stuart spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Wefso. Mrs. Emil Colfack went to Lin coln Friday to get her daughter, Shirley, who will spend a couple of weeks visiting at home. They were accompanied home by John ny Leage of Houston, Tex., who spent the weekend in the Colfack home. He returned to Lincoln Sun day evening. Atkinson Iris society met Mon day afternoon at the Steak House with Mrs. Roy Griffin as hostess. Roll call was answered with, | ’’Naming Non-indigenous Flowers You Have Seen”. Mrs. Jean Livingston had the program, ‘‘Flowers in Other Lands". The next meeting will be August 10 with Mrs. Howard Davis as hostess. Emil Colfack went to Columbus Monday on business. Venus News By Mrs Ralph Brookhouser William Tyler of Verdigre un derwent surgery at a Norfolk hos pital. His son and daughter-in-law of Venus visited with him. Arthur Butterfield of Omaha is spending some time with his bro ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Lloyd Butterfield. Ralph Brookhouser called at the S. R Robertson ranch Satur day, July 18. Mrs. Lloyd Butterfield, Mrs. Don ald Caskey and Mrs, Harry Caskey attended a party at the Mr. and | Mrs Bernard Butterfield home ! near Center. Claudice Evans was a caller at I the Harry’ Caskey home Tuesday. Juy 21. Darla and Marsha, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Montgom ery, are staying at the Cecil Moser | home this week. Mrs. Montgomery land family visited there Friday, 'July 24. : Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Davey of Bellevue spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Brook houser. Mr. Davey did carpenter work on their farm in the Venus vicinity The Russell Ickler fam ily are the tenants. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Davey and Mr. anti Mrs. Brook liouser were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Emil Bartos in honor of Neva Jean’s 8th birth day. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bartos sr. Ice cream and cake were serv ed later in the evening. Crowded Out Ijist Week’s News Ami Curtis, 3, of Omaha, who ; with her parents was visiting in | the neighborhood Monday received a bruised hand when a dog, bit it. The skin was broken slightly. The little girl was taken to Orchard by her mother, Mrs. Charles Cur tis and Mrs, Ri Brookhouser for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Caskey and sons visited Saturday evening at the later’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Porter. Also visiting there was Lloyd Porter of Holdredge, who came that day. The recent hail storm there did extensive damage to the Porter residence. Leland Caskey of Omaha spent the weekend with his parents, Mr and Mrs. Ora Caskey. He returned Sunday evening. Leland has em ployment there. Accompaning him home were Bette Sukup and Leona Mudloff. They spent the weekend with their parents, Elmer Sukup and family and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mudloff. Mr. and Mrs. George Jeffery were Norfolk visitors a week ago Saturday. | Gerold Fahrenholz o f O'Neill spent a week visiting his uncles, the Jeffery brothers and families.
