The descendants of the late Er
nest and Mary Boclter gathered
at the City park in Verthgre Sun- j
day, July 12 for the annual re
union. A basket dinner was held
at noon. The afternoon was spent
at cards, pitching horse shoes and
visiting.
Those present for the occasion
were: Mrs. Hattie Boclter, Mr. and
Mrs Gerald Waring and family,
Mr and Mrs. Albert Boelter and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Boel
ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Er

Since the 1958 reunion there has
been two marriages, A mold Miller
and Ardith McElhose and Bob Van
Ostrand and Leone Boelter.
Living descendants are one son,
Joe- Boelter, twenty three grand
children, fifty eight great-grand
children, several great-great
grandchildren, several great-great
grandchildren, also, Ifattie, wife
of the late Arthur Boelter and Fay,
wife of the late Itoland Boelter.
Irma Juracek returned home
Saturday after spending the week
with relatives in lincoln and Oma
ha.
Joe Boelter of Rowley. Ia. spent
Thursday night and had dinner
Friday with the Ewalt Miller fam
ily.

Donna Hiatt Honored
at Pre-Nuptial Shower
r Miss Donna Hiatt was honored
Saturday evening, July 18, at a
pre-nuptial shower in the Bristow
Methodist church pallors._

The program was given as a
“This Is Your Life" presentation
with Mrs. Elvin Allen in charge.
Others who had a part in recalling
various events of Miss Hiatt’s life
were the Misses Lavonne Johnson,
Linda Howell, Kathy Loukota, Sha
ryn Teadtke, Lennia DeVall, Mario
Johnson, Nancy Lightfoot, Elsa
Jensen, Twila Hicks, and Olga
Bengsten and Mesdames Robert
Anderson. Duane Mahlendorf, Jer
old Dennis, and Edith Truman.
Ttje bride-to-be was presented with
a folder containing her life story
which had been depicted.
Seated with Miss Hiatt under
a canopy of pink and white, her
chosen colors, were her mother,
Mrs. Ivan Hiatt, and aunt, Mrs.
Frank Loock.
The remainder of the evening
was spent viewing the wide as
sortment of gifts which were open
ed.
Lunch, which also carried out
the bride's colors, was served by
the women of the Methodist
church.
The regular Luther League
meeting was held on July 16th.
Rose Marie Holmberg was in
charge of the program, “Quick
sand Slogans ’. Readings were
given by Mario Johnson, Barbara
Thorscll, Janice Peterson, and
Sharon Holmberg.

ke, Mrs. Allan Hargens, Mrs. L.
W. Gibson, and Mrs. Clyde Beck

This is the first group of 130 students to take swimming lessons at the O’Neill Municipal swim
ming pool during the summer. A total of 300 children were given lessons by trained lifeguards and a
large percentage of children were from out of town. The Frontier Photo and F.ngraving.

were broken Into two large groups to make it possib'e for all children to take lessons that wanted to.
