Their mothers, the faculty and their wives were guests. Superintendent William Hock presented the seniors, who in turr introduced their mothers and tolc what they planned on doing aftei they graduated. Darrell Heiss talked to the sen iors on ‘‘Springboards of Life.’ Entertainment included group singing led by Pat French, a tap dance by Terry French, a solo “My God and I ”, by Pat French, and a pantomime, ‘ Operation,’’ by Marvin Stauffer The Nifty Needlers 4-H club met Saturday at the legion hall. After a short business meeting, the club was divided for discussion periods. The homemaking group learned how to miter corners in hemming lunch cloths. The skirt and blouse group learned how to gather a skirt. The let’s cook girls made ambrosia and studied about citrus fruits. The next meeting will be held May 16. Mrs. Stewart and the children return'd in April and Mr. j Stew art liegan research on a pro- j posed book concerning the August j 1, 1943, low-level bombing of the! Ploesti (Rumaniai oil fiekls. Al though he did not fly the mission, Stewart was a member of one of j the participating groups. He knew j several hundred men who flew the! mission and the proposed book is a closeup, intimate story which has never been published. Stewart’s research has been at the Library of Congress in Wash ington and at the Air Force histor ical archives at Maxwell Air Force Base at Montgomery.
