Christian Mothers was held Sunday
afternoon at St. Peter's Church
with the Rev, p. F. Burke officia

A tea at St. Dominic’s Hall hon
oning ihe new members followed
the service in charge of several
members ot the St. Theresa circle.
Blue and white was the color
tiieme. A bouquet of primroses
and a madonna statue centered the
table.
Mrs. David Burk poured, assis
ted by Mrs. John Bauer. Other
ladies on the committee were Mrs.
Ann Klein. Mrs. Lyle Mitteis, Mrs.

the April 29 afternoon meeting held
at the parlors of the First Metho
dist Church.

Mrs. Larsen gave a report on
the district meeting of the Society
held at Page. She also presented
Mrs. Tinsley, retiring president,
a corsage of missions and also a
corsage of flowers, in appreciation
of her faithful service for the past
two years.
Committees were appointed for
the alumni banquet.
A fund was started for the pur
chase of a refrigerator for the
kitchen from the donation food sale
at each meeting of the Society

Mrs. Dewitt Hoke, Mrs. Tinsley
and Mrs. Ray Sedivy.

Hobbs. Tables were decorated in
a theme of yellow and white cen
tered with bouquets of tulips, daf
fodils and violets.
Twenty-one members and two
guests, Mrs. Tony Rothleutner and
Mrs. Robert Van Horn were in at
tendance.

sie Angus had a record of perfect
attendance for the year.
A mothers' tea was given Tues
day afternoon at the Ewing pu
blic school by the freshmen class
of the home economics class. In
vited guests were mothers of the
students.
Marcene Schmiser was the
narrator as the girls modeled
their dresses, skirts and
blouses made this year. A vocal
selection was presented by Betty
Wright, Linda Larson, Pat Hobbs
and Ardis Parks with Roberta Mc
Daniels at the piano. The girls
also had on display, canned fruits
.vhich was a part of their home
naking project.

This was a hot year for the St. Mary’s Academy Cardinals
track squad. They brought home 11 trophys and It appears that
they may bring even more home. Coach Don Templemeyer is shown
with the first place trophys. The trophys, from front to rear, are
the Fremont h.C. Invitational Championship, the Sandhills Relays
Recognition of Record Breaking Performances, the K.C. 880 Yard
Relay, the llolt County 880 Yard Relay, the Sandhills 880 Yard Relay,
the Sandhills Flo Yard Relay, the Sandhills l,ow Hurdle Shuttle Re
lay, the Sandhills Outstanding Performance, the Burwcll Wrangler
Relay Class B. Championship, the Holt County Championship and the
Sandhills Relays Championship. The Frontier Photo and Engraving.
