A group of nineteen friends and
relatives of "Cindy Brown gathered
at her home Saturday afternoon
to help celebrate her birthday. Af
ter playing various games, they
were served a tempting lunch con
sisting of ice-cream, cake and
Kool-aide.
Jimmy Widtfeldt was a Monday
! overnight guest of Terry Brown.
Norma Widtfeldt was home from
school Monday and Tuesday due
to a cold and complications. She
wasn't at all happy at the thoughts
of making up for last time, but it

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Widtfeldt
were in the vicinity of swan Lake
and Burwell on business Friday. :
Mr. and Mrs. George Calkins 1
spent Friday evening at the home
of their daughter, Mrs. Don I
Hynes, and family.
Mrs. Henry Vequist spent March |
19 afternoon at the home of her
son, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Vequist. j
The Albert Widtfeldt family
-were Friday evening guests at the
Melvin Johring home. The time
was pleasantly passed at \iewing
a portion of the family's ten-year
collection of slide projector pic
tures. including a recent trip to
Louisiana, a long the Gulf of Mex
ico. and some at Churchill Downs
in Kentucky, the famous race
track, horses, rice and cotton fields.
A late lunch was served by the
hostess, of home made ice-cream,
cake, brownies and coffee.
Kussell Deriekson was a March
19 after-school guest of Tommy
and Janice Vequist.
The Eagle Creek 4-H Club met
Sunday afternoon at the Lyle Ve
quist home, with all members pre
sent. Mrs. Fanny Ernst was a vi
sitor. After the usual business
meeting and a little entertainment,
the hungry group was served a
lunch of hot-dogs, salad, cake and
kool-aid.
Tommy and Janice Vequist were
Friday after school visitors at the
Deriekson home until their parents
came from town, bringing their |
sister. Rita, home for the week-end.
Mrs. Lou Brown was a March
19 morning coffee guest of Mrs. j
John Schultz.

were, Mr. and Mr*. Edgar Peter
son and Mr*. Delia Ernst of
Amelia. Mr*. Ernst remained
there for a few days visit.
Friday evening visitors at the
John Schultz home were Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Deriekson and boys and
Mr. and Mrs. John Kersenbrock.
Bob Gallagher and Dan Rakes
were March 19 supper guests at
the Floyd Johnson home.
Mrs. Floyd Johnson attended a
jewelry- party March 18 evening at
the home of Mrs. Miorrris Har
mon. of which Mrs Lowell John
son was hostess,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schultz, and
children of Denver, G>lo. arrived
in the vicinity March 18 and will
sj>end a few days visiting friends
and relatives. They called at tin
home of Frank's brother, John, on
Friday evening.
Linda Johnson spent Monday and
had dinner with her sister. Mrs.
John Schultz, and husband.
Mrs. Kathryn Yantzi accompan
ied by Mrs Alice Hill of Atkinson,
went to Burwell Friday to visit
Mrs. Yantzi’s uncle, Logan Maring.

spent Monday with their grand

birthday at his home.

visitors at the Blake Benson home.

and Cindy Brown, who accompan
ied the Schultz sisters home from

Easter weekend with his parents,

family were Sunday night guests at
the home of Mr. and Airs. Bud
Krugman and family.
Air. and Airs. Paul Bourne and
fatly journeyed to Oman* Sunday.

brothers, John and Bob Bourne
and their families. While in Omaha
