The regular business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Marvin Ander son, Jr. Past Grand, in the ab sence of the Noble Grand. A valentine card party was held after the meeting. Mrs. Anderson won traveling and high and Ruth Baker won low. Winnie Barger and Mrs. Bill Claussen were hos tesses. O'Neill Women’s Club The O’Neill Women’s Club met Tuesday at the Vernon Lorenz home. Guests were Mrs. Robert Forwood and Mrs. George Car stens. A muscial program was presented with Mrs. H. L. Lind berg chairman. Next meeting is March 23. O'Neill Better Ways Club Eleven members of the O'Neill Better Ways Club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. .Joe Menish. Roll call was answered with a val entine poem. JoAnn Wecker gave a demon stration on "Food Facts and Fal lacies,” which was followed by a valentine party. March 23 meeting will be at the Mrs. Richard llo vey home. Merry Mix Merry Mix club met Tuesday in the Ted McElhaney home. Mrs. C. W. Porter won high and Mrs. Ar lo Hiatt was a guest. Next meet ing will be in the Mrs. Paul Sherk home. MNO Mrs Joe Tennis was hostess to the MNO club meeting. Mrs Gale Dierberger was co-hostess. The 18 members present each contribu ted to the Diabetic Camp Fund and also voted to contribute to the polio, heart and cancer drives. Mrs. Russ Foree was presented with a baby gift from the mem bers. For the program, Mrs. Ar nott Buxton read some excerpts from the book, "Only in America,” by Harry Golden. Food Facta And Fallacies “Food facts and fallacies" was the lesson topic for the February meeting of the HEO Club which j met at the home of Mrs. Leon Sis son for a covered dish luncheon The lesson was led by Mrs. Ewald Spahn and Mrs. Frank Miller Mrs Lambert Bartak conducted the business meeting with 8 members present. The club goals for the year were discussed and it was voted to con tribute to the diabetic fund. At the close of the meeting, Mrs. Sisson served coffee and cookies. Extension Club Meets at Youngs The Friendly Neighbors Exten sion Club meeting was held Feb ruary 17 at the home of Mrs. Boh Young, with one visitor and 14 members present. The lesson was given by Mrs. Duane McKay. The next meeting will be held March 17 at the home of Mrs. Mar vin Anderson. Lynch, Spencer, Pags, Inman, Atkinson' and O'Neill were represented at the rally which included supper at the church. Mrs. Delius Roach, an Indian American from Magnet spoke and a film, “The Broken Mask,” was shown, carrying out the race re lations theme. Special gifts were given for Philander Smith College in Arkansas O'Monde Club Members of he O'Monde Club met last Tuesdey evening with Mrs. Ted Kyster and Mrs. George Carstens present as guests. Mrs. Robert Waters, Mrs. Harry Gil dersleeve and Mrs. Larry Schaf fer were winners. Next meeting will be Tuesday at the Harry Gil dersleeve home. Children Honor Parents Mr. and Mrs. Ttooert Strong of Chambers were honored on their 25th wedding anniversary Friday by their children who treated them to dinner at the M and M. Present were the couple’s six children and their families. After dinner the group went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cole where a group of friends had gath ered to surprise them. Entertainment was singing old time songs and social visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Rother ham of Ewing have announced the engagement of their daugh ter, Miss Helen Marie, to John M. Kronschnaiiel, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kronschnabel. Me nasha. Wise. Miss Rotherham, a 1958 honor graduate of the St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing, Lincoln, is now on the nursing staff of St. Elizabeth's hospital. Her fiance attended St. Thomas College, St. Paul, Minn., served two years with the U. S. Ma rines corps and graduated a year ago from the University of Nebraska. He is employed as Hospital Territory Manager for the Wyeth Laboratories in Min neapolis, Minn. The couple plan an April 11 wedding at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. Mrs. Forwood, whose name is Maryann, has a fulltime ob with her family and house w.-rk, but enjoys playing bridge and is already active in church and school organizations.
