Crusade for Freedom Discussed by Auxiliary— The auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, unit 926, convened Wednesday, January 14, at the na tional guard armory. Mrs. George Morland, president, was in charge. It was reported that the cards with the auxiliary emblem on them had been ordered and that the auxiliary had helped prepare three Christmas baskets which the members of the VFW post distrib uted. Maxine Urban was appointed safety chairman. The crusade for freedom campaign was discussed. Dollars for cancer are to be turn ed in as soon as possible. Goldie Tucker reported that she had sent gifts at Christmas to the VFW national home for the two LeFavor boys. The meeting was adjourned to reopen the second Tuesday of February. Lunch was ‘served by Anna Brown and Maxine Urban. Lunch committee next month will be Morlang and Claudina Staub.
