Switzer to Talk
at Joint Meeting
Ray Switzer, outstanding live
stock market reporter, judge and
salesman, will speak in O'Neill
Friday afternoon, January 9, at
the American Legion auditorium
in connection with the annual meet
ing of the Holt county extension
service and the Holt soil and wat
er conservation district.
Mr. Switzer was assistant to the
well known Don Cunningham for
five years at the Sioux City live
stock market. He is a graduate of
South Dakota State college where
he majored in animal husbandry
Currently he is the fat steer sales
man for one of the largest commis
sion firms in the country.
In livestock circles he is well
known for his judging and aver
ages 30 to 40 fairs per year where
he judges fat cattle.

mother of Harry E. Ressel of O’
Neill and a resident here from
1948 until 1953, died Saturday,
December 27, at Brunswick.
Funeral services were conduct
ed Monday, December 29, at 2 p.
m., at the Methodist church in
Plainview. Rev. Francis St. A
mant officiated. Burial was in
Pleasant View cemetery at Plain
view.
Fannie Boydston was born Feb
uary 22, 1870, at Grinnell. Ia. In
1871 she came to Nebraska with
her parents, and settled north
east of Ceresco.
On March 11, 1891, she was un- i
ited in marriage with John W.
Ressel. They farmed in Saunders
county until 1919 when they mov
ed to Crawford Valley, near Plain
view. In 1928 they retired and
moved into Plainview. Her hus
band' died in 1953 during their O’
Neill residency.
She lived with her children be
tween her husband’s death and
May, 1957. when she became a
guest at Rest Manor at Bruns
wick.
The Ressels became the par
ents of five children. One son
died in infancy.
Survivors include: Sons — Harry
of O'Neill and Curts of Plainview;
daughters Mrs. Frank (Esther!
Senseney of Manson, Wash., and
Mrs. John (Ednai Senseney of
Plainview; 20 grandchildren; 42
great-grandchildren; one great
great-grandchild; brother — Geo

church at Raeville was the scene
of the wedding of Miss Leona How -
ard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora
Howard of O’Neill, and Donald
Zwingman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Zwingman of Petersburg
Rev. Adrian Van Veen officiated
at the 9:30 a.m. double-ring cere
mony and nuptial mass.
The bride appeared in a gown
of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle
The fitted bodice featured an illu
sion neckline trimmed with rusch
ing. The full gathered skirt hail
alternating rows of ruffles and
rusching. Her lace trimmed nylon
net fingertip veil fell from a tiny
headband of seed pearls. She car
ried red roses and lilv of the Mil
ley.
Mrs. Donald Henke of Salinas,
Calif., sister of the bridegroom,
was bridesmaid. She wore a blue
nylon lace and net over taffeta.
She carried a bouquet of white
roses.
Richard Zwingman served as his
brother's bestman. Ushers were
Norbert Reestman and Joe Grund
meyer. jr.
Dinner was served to 45 guests
at the home of the bridegroom’s
parents. Mrs. Rae Reestman. a
sister of the bridegroom, cut the
three-tier wedding cake Miss Shar
on Howard, a sister of the bride,
had charge of the gifts.
The bride is a graduate of O’
Neill high school. Mr. Zwingman
attended Raeville high school. Af
ter a short wedding trip, the
couple will make their home at
Raeville.

INMAN Funeral services
were conducted at 1:30 pin.,
Tuesday. December 23, in Iowa
for William G. Hall, 89, who made
his home for 20 years with his
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Chris Rcimers, west of In
man.
Mr Hall died Saturday, Decem
ber 20, at the home of his son,
Vernon, who lives five miles
southwest of Adair. Grandsons,
including Robert Rcimers, were
pallbearers. Burial was in Wiota
cemetery.
He was bom in Jasper county,
la., Feburary 3, 1869 and mar
ried Margaret Hawk May 19, 1889.
Mrs. Hall died March 7, 1915.
Mr. Hall lived in Cass county
until 1929. He returned to Iowa
two years ago.
Survivors include: Daughters
Mrs. Irene Hrillhart of Anderson,
Calif ; Mrs. Esta Sheu maker and
Mrs. Zella Waters, both of At
lantic, la.; Mrs. Oiris tEvelyn'
