Saridges Enjoy Stay in Nassau EWING Mr. and Mrs. Harold Savidge returned home recently from a trip to the Bahama Islands, sponsored by the J. I. Case com pany for territorial managers and other employees. The Savidges went to Omaha and left there by plane the follow ing day on a nonstop flight in a large plane, making the trip in about six hours to the Islands. Upon landing at the capital city ; of Nassau, the program for the ' dealers' conference moved into : high gear with a continuous round of activities day and night. The party made the Emerald I Beach hotel its headquarters. Business meetings were held at the Case outdoor arena and aud itorium. The day's program began at 7 a m., with breakfast at the Em erald Beach dining room followed by a day’s activities including swimming, (ocean or pool), beach games, boat excursions with pic nic lunches, motor excursions through the colorful old-world city of Nassau, deep sea fishing. Dinner each evening at the Em erald Beach Jubilee Terrace was followed by professional entertain ment and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Savidge especially enjoyed the tour of sightseeing in and around the colorful British city. They saw many historical places such as the old forts, the Queen's Staircase in the center of the city (carved from solid rock by slaves), Ardastra Gardens where the owner has a flock of 50 trained flamingoes (the national bird of the Bahamas), Black lieard’s Well, Blackboard's Tower and many other places with guides who gave interesting information on each. On a shopping tour souvenirs were collected and gifts purch ased to bring home.
