Four Teams Enter Tourney SPENCER The annual Spencer invitational cage tourney will be held Thursday and Friday, Jan uary 1 and 2, with two games each night. In the first round, Stuart Bron cos and Page Eagles will clash at 7 o’clock, and at 8:30 Spencer the host team will face the strong Inman Tigers. These games will be played Thursday. Friday night the losers will play at 7 o'clock and the champ ionship game will be played at 8:30. Marv Miller and Vernon Car penter of O’Neill high school will officiate. Atkinson to Host 9-Team C Tourney ATKINSON The annual district class C basketball tourney will be staged here February 23-24-26-27 Teams entered are Atkinson Stuart, Springview, Ewing, Tilden. Elgin St Boniface, Spencer and Butte. Games will he played at 7 and 8:30 o’clock nightly. Officials have not yet been chosen. Coaches and superintendents met Wednesday night at O'Neill to make prelim inary plans. Teams will lie seeded and matched Saturday, February 7 at 10 a m. when coaches and sup erintendents will again meet. Valentine Makes Strong Finish STUART In a dandy ball game played here Tuesday night, the Valentine Badgers rallied to win, 54-37, over Uie Stuart Broncos. The game was tied at halftime and Stuart moved ahead briefly in the third before Valentine poured on the cobs. Butch Bauman lead the Stuart offensive with 16 points.
