Miss Juanita May Johnston,

Johnson of Curtis, and Merle
Kingman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Krugman of O'Neill, were
married Wednesday, October 29,
by a judge in Gering.

the weekend of November 14-15 in
Curtis visiting the couple.

Miss Lucas became the bnde of
Roger Bennett Sunday at Ewing.
Returns to California—
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beckwith
took their son, Donald, to Grand
Island on Sunday from where he
took a plane to Los Angeles, Calif.,
where he is employed. He had vis
ited at home two weeks.

vows in a 2:30 p.m., ceremony
Sunday, Novemlier 9. at First
Methodist church in Newport.
Rev. Gene Anderson officiated.

with Me”, accompanied by Mrs.
Carl Hajlgrimson.

er, the bride appeared in a gown
of imported handclipped Chantilly
lace and tulle over satin, irrides
cent sparkles, floral pattern of
lace applique and a tall band of
lace formed a sweeheart neckline.
The long sleeves tapered to bri
dal points at the wrist.
Beneath the narrow waist the
tall lace ruffles continued to fa
shion a voluminous panel, drap
ing in back.
Her jewelry consisted of a string
of pearls and earrings, gifts of
the bridegroom. She carried a
double cascade of sweetheart
roses on a white Bible.
Miss Marilyn Phillips of Lin
coln was maid-of-honor. Brides
maids were Bonnie Utter and
Judy Bussinger of Lincoln. Each
wore pompom velvet sheath dres
ses with satin cummerbunds with
a bustle effect and sweep neck
lines. They wore velvet hats and
golden brown earrings, gifts of
tne Driae.
Richard Harman of Lincoln was
bestman. Ray Lindsay and Carl
Fielder of Lincoln air force base
were ushers.
Candlelighters were Lillian Mc
Kenney, sister of the bride, and
Dennis Deweese, nephew of the
bridegroom. ,, ,

ers were Ellen and Johnny Mc
Kenney, niece and nephew of the

The bridegroom’s mother bak
ed the bridal cake which was ser
ved at the reception to two hun
dred guests. The reception was
held in the Newport school audi

The bridegroom is stationed at
the air force base.

church Thursday pledged $50 for
Camp Fontanelle.

ed the Camp Fontanelle “buck-a
month” plan to the group and sev
eral members subscribed.
Mrs. Clay Johnson, jr., presi
dent, presided. A report on the
fall festival, November 8, was
given. A Thanksgiving devotional
sen-ice was presented bv Mrs.
Louis Reimer, sr., and Mrs. El
mer Hagensick.
Dessert luncheon was. served by
Mrs. Frank Eppenbaugh and Mrs.
C. G. Shelhase.
Miss Marion Moseman, a stu
dent at a business college in Oma
ha is expected home for Thanks
giving. She is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Moseman.

Another Big Cattle Run Today
There should be 1.400-1.600 head of rattle today (Thursday)
at our regular weekly sale.
This run win Include 700-900 calves, mostly Herefords. There
will be about 500 yearlings, possibly up to 000 head.
There are two good consignments of breeding <>n the
books. A lot of stock cattle will be In good sized consignments.
Many of these yearlings and calves will be In carload lots.
Hog sale wUl start early. The storm earUer In the week Isn’t
expected to hold up any of the cattle movements.
