Parkins, 66, appliance sales supervisor for Consumers Public Power district’s 11-county O'Neill district since January 15, 1937, will retire November 21. CP PD has named Rot>ort M. (“Bob”) Forwood, 36, of Ogallala to suc ceed Mr. Parkins. Mr. Forwood, a 10-year man with CPPD and sales supervisor for the four-county Ogallala dis trict since May 1, 1954, started his sales career with CPPD at York in 1948. Mr. Parkins, a native of Hanni bal, Mo., and a veteran of 40 years in the selling business in cluding the last 21 at O'Neill, has not announced retirement plans. He does plan to keep his home in O’Neill for the immediate future. The new O’Neill district sales supervisor, a native of Wilmington, Dela., is an air force veteran of World War II. He started with CPPD at York in 1948 as an ap pliance salesman, a position he held until he was promoted to Og allala in 1954. Mr. Forwood, active in the American Legion, Elks and Lions organizations at Ogallala, is mar ried and the father of two sons and a daughter. He, his wife, Maryanne, and children, Steve, 9. Jim, 8, and Bonnie Jean, 2, will make their home in O'Neill as soon as housing can be arranged. CPPD also announced that Bill Keep, 33, of Albion has been nam ed to succeed Mr. Forwood at Og allala. Mr. Keep, a native of Chap pell, is an 11-year veteran of CP PD’s sales department, including the past seven years at Albion.
