Mr and Mrs Snell were mar ried at O'Neill September 19 1895 They made the trip hy lumber wagon a new fine pur chased for the occasion and for future use Road conditions were such that it required the team a full day to make the trip. With out fanfare, showers or celebra tions, they took up their married life in his bachelor quarters north west of Page. He is 86; she is 83. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, September 21, at Fellowship hall following the morning services at the Meth odist church A basket dinner will lie served at noon for the re latives followed by an open-house observance from 2:30 to 5 o’clock. Their granddaughter Mrs Tom Sinnard of Grand Island, will be in charge of arrangements, and the members of the WSCS wall form the serving committee and be in charge of the kitchen ar rangements. The Snyders were married at Tccumseh in 1898 and attended the state fair at Lincoln as their wedding trip. Elvon Chace Is in Chicago Hospital Wife Makes Visit CELIA — There was no school Thursday and Friday in the Celia district as the teacher, Mrs. Mar garet Chace, went to Chicago, 111., to visit her husband, Elvon, who is a patient in a Chicago hos pital. Their son. Larry, a graduate of the University of Colorado in June, is now' an assistant track coach for the Buffaloes. Larry let tered three years in track at Boulder. In addition to his ath letic work, which included some recruiting of talent, he is taking graduate work in physical educa tion. Mrs. Bob Clements and chil dren returned home after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gurule in Denver, Colo.
