Kennicott per formed the double-ring marriage ceremony uniting Miss Janice La Kern Menkens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Menkens of Emmet, and Leo Alden Tyrrell of Lincoln. The rites took place at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 6, at the First Methodist church in O’ Neill. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Dean Klinetobe of Or chard, wore a floor-length gown j of white nylon lace and nylon tulle over slipper catin. It featur ed a fitted bodice with a scallop ed bateau neckline and dropped waistline forming a V in front and had the traditional lace sleev es that came to a point at the wrists. The skirt was full with inserts of white lace. Her finger tip illusion veil was held by a small crown. She carried a bou quet of white colonial mums. Miss Connie Menkens, sister of the bride, was the maid-of-honor, and Carol Jean Klinetobe, aunt of the bride, was bridesmaid. They wore ballerina length gowns of orchid and yellow. The bodice was lace and had tucked nylon down the front and nylon chiffon streamers fell from a V shaped neckline in the hack. They car ried bouquets of orchid and yel low colonial mums. Bestman was Ray Schoenrack of Sioux City. Groomsman was Paul Tyrrel of Pender, a brother of the bridegroom.
