The past week Mrs. Jooper had spent at home. Mrs. Kenneth Werner taking her place it the postoffice. Mrs. Elsie Sorensen spent the past weekend with her sister, Vlrs. Fred Brockmaller, at Laurel. She attended a smorgasbord ser ved by the ladies of the Luther in church at the Legion hall in ^aurel Thursday and also attend 'd the wedding of her nephew, iobert Nissen of Wayne, on Sat irday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taggart and laughter of Minneapolis, Minn., ipent the Labor day weekend with ler parents, Mr. and Mrs. Char es Wright. They have moved ,ince to Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Roseler if Boulder, Colo., left Wednesday, ifter visiting several days with ler parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. lleary, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Streeter md family spent the labor day veekend in Wichita, Kans., with dr. and Mrs. Harold Huebert and amily. Foam was brought into play to bring under control the fire Sunday afternoon that destroyed a truck in the North Western railway yards. Water hand a tendency to only spread the flames. Former Lynch Woman Is Dead Mrs. Aletha Mae Hasenpflug, 48. of Malmo, and a former res ident of the Lynch and Monowi communities, was found dead in l>ed Monday morning, September 8 by her landlady. The attend ing physician said that she died of a heart attack late Sunday evening. She was a school teach er at Malmo and had completed a week s term. Her legal residence was at Pierce where she lived with her husband, Herman, who died in 1953. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at First Metho dist church in Lynch. Rev Anna Nelson will officiate. Interment will be in the Alford cemetery at Monowi. The body will lie in state at the Jones Funeral home in Lynch until the funeral hour. The late Mrs. Hasenpflug was born March 7, 1910 at Verdel, the daughter of Joseph Clinch and Jennie Pruden Clinch. Survivors include: daughters Mrs. Robert (IreneI Bonge of Williamsburg, Va., Miss Deniece Hasenpflug of Norfolk; son — S/App. Garold L. Hasenpflug, stationed at Yokosuko, Japan; grandson Robert Keith Bonge, .jr., of Williamsburg, Va.; broth ers—Henry and Joseph of Omaha and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Julia Hasenpflug of Lynch. 9 Miss Mabel Thomas returned to Oakdale to resume her teaching after visiting her parents over the weekend. Miss Helen returned to Gordon to teach second grade after spending the summer at O'Neill. Father, 44, and Stepson Killed Werner Eisert, 44, and his step- | son, age H were killed instantly j Monday, September 1. The ar dent took place at Petrolia, Calif Mrs. Eisert, his wife, received head injuries and both arms frac tured. Two little sons are serious- j ly injured but are improving. Mr Eisert was born in Berlin Germany on August 10, 1914. Hr came to the United States with ! his parents in 1923. He married Eunice Cannon in 1940 They be came the parents of four children. In 1957 he was married to Miss Jean Earll in Lincoln. Funeral services will he held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m., at Gothenburg Survivors include: Widow Jean; daughters Sheryll and Jerri; sons Warren and Mar vin; step children Martha and Leo; brother Carl of Denver, Colo.; sisters Mrs. Boyd (Ella) Boelter of O’Neill; stepmother Mrs. Marge Eisert of O’Neill.
