Miss Norma Timmerman,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Timmerman of O’Neill, became
the bride of James Frerichs. son
of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frerichs of
O’Neill, Sunday, August 17, in a
double-ring ceremony.
Rev William Lieske, pastor of
Trinity Lutheran church, officiat
ed at the 1 p.m. rite in Salina,
Kans,
Mrs Earl Ascher of Salina,
played the traditional wedding
march..
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white bal
lerina length dress of chantilly
lace styled with a fitted bodice
featuring a scoop neckline and
three-quarter-length sleeves. Her
shoulder length veil was held in
place by a lace plateau cap. Her
only jewelry was a single strand
of pearls, a gift from the bride
groom. She carried a bouquet of
white chrysanthemums, red
roses, feathered white carnations
with lily of the valley, and tied
with red satin ribbons.
Miss Alice Frerichs of O’Neill,
sister of the bridegroom, was
maid-of-honor. The bridesmaid
was Miss Beverly Linquist of
O’Neill. The maid-of-honor wore
an aqua blue acetate dress which
featured a fitted bodice of chan
tilly-type lace wih wide cummer
bund The bridesmaid wore a
peach colored dress styled like
that worn by the maid-of-honor.
They carried bouquets of white
mums and stephanotis with white
satin streamers.
Bestman was Roger Wittmayer
of Schilling air force base. Salina,
Robert Lundblad, also of Schil
ling, was groomsman. The bride
groom and his attendants were
attired in their Air Force uni
forms. Bestman and groomsman
also served as ushers.
Mrs. Timmerman chose a dress
of pink lace for her daughter's
wedding. She wore a white car
nation corsage.
Mrs. Frerichs, mother of the
bridegroom, wore a dark blue
dress with a pink carnation cor
age.
Following the ceremony was
a dinner, given by the bride's
parents, at the Swedish Diner in
Salina.
Miss Janet Seger of O’Neill
presided over the guest book.
Mrs. French is a graduate of
O'Neill high school and attended
Wayne State Teachers college for
one year. She has taught in rural
schools for the past two years.
Mr. Frerich is also a graduate
of O’Neill high school and has
been in the air force since No
vember.
The couple will make their
home at 629 Highland, Salina.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Madison of
Pasadena, Calif., were Saturday,
August 23, guests of Mr. and Mrs.
William Claussen. Mr. and Mrs.
Madison made a trip to Norfolk
on Sunday and returned Monday
for a longer visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Adamson
were Sunday, August 23, visitors
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A
J. Koenig of Ewing.

Probationary Driver’s License Renewals
All Probationary Driver's Licenses, which includes anyone
under 20 years of age at the time license was issued, issued be
tween September 1, 1957, and August 30, 1958. will expire on
September 1, 1958, and must be renewed between the dates
of September 1, 1958. and October 31, 1958.
Operators permitting their license to lapse will be required
to appear before the examiners and successfully pass the re
quired test before acquiring a new operator's license.
If application is made by mail send in your old license
along with $1.50.
