Cattle receipts were 783
head. The most buyer interest
of the season was the story at
the Old Reliable’s opening
auction of the fall season.
Buyers were present from
Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota,
Iowa a id eastern Nebraska.
Charlie Tasler and Sons fall
calves topped the day s prices
at $32.75 on steers and $30.55
on the heifer mates. Weights
averaged 465 lbs. Yearling
steers in load lots sold from $26
to $28 with no strictly choice
kinds offered. Yearling heif
ers sold from $24.75 to $27.50.
The latter price paid for 500
lb. weights. Weightier steers
carrying a little flesh sold from
$23.50 t > $25.75. Feeding heif
ers at $22 to $24.75. Butcher
cattle of all classes sold 25 to
50c higher with the least ad
vance on butcher bulls.
