11. Exhibitors and visitors will take no'iee that the society will not
he liable for anv damage or accident that may occur to any
one. or for the loss of property, but the officers will use dili
gence to avoid any accidents and afford protection.
12. The association reserves the right to call off any or all of the
program on account of had weather or any other unavoidable
cause
13 Anv article or antmal on exhibition shall not be remox’ed from
the grounds until 1:00 p m., of the last day of the Fair except
special permission, or will forfeit any premium money won.
11. No animal or article may compete for more than one premium
except sweepstakes or specials.
15. Tn cases where no person is competing, the judges will award
first, second, or no premium, as they deem best.

computing premiums and the one having the most will be de
clared the winner

19. All stock must be owned by the exhibitor at lea^t 30 days prior

20. Any article or animal fraudulently entered or shown, that wins

21. All exhibits must be TTolt county products.
22. All 4-TI club premiums will he paid in full All other premiums
will he paid in full unless by unavoidable cause, the rerepits
shall not he sufficient, in which case they will be prorated and
paid accordingly.
22. A blue ribbon denotes 1«t premium; a red ribbon. 2nd premium,
and a purple ribbon, sweepstakes. Superintendents will attach
premium tags as soon as awards are made.
21. All protests must he filed in writing with the Secretary during
the Fair, and same w'll be acted upon at the first meeting of
the Board of Directors.
25. All animals must bp exhibited at such timp and place as the
superintendent may direct.
26. The annual meeting will be the first Saturday after the first
day of November.

The Superintendents are required to take charge of all articles
belonging to their department, on their arrival on the grounds and see
that they are in the proper places
Superintendents must be on Ihe grounds early in the morning of
each day of the Fair to assist exhibitors in ticketing and arranging
the nrticles, and shall appoint the awarding committees in the re
spective classes under the direction and consent of the Board of Di
rectors and report them at once anil not later than Wednesday to the
-Secretary.
POLICE REGCLATIONS
The President shall have charge ot the grounds and it shall he
his duty to assign the police force, provided hy the Village of Cham
bers, their respective duties including gatekeepers. All persons em
ployed shall be sworn conservators of the peace, and it shall he their
duty to arrest any persons creating any disturbance or violating any
rules of the Society.
Anyne entering the grounds clandestinely shall be arrested.
No intoxicating drinks shall be sold or drunk on the grounds.
Any person found intoxicated will be dealt with according to law.

the 1957 total to set another new
record, according to a summary
released this week.
Cash awards to be offered at
this year’s exposition amount to
$79 859 as compared with $77,147
in 1957,
In addition, the fair will offer
troohies and plaques valued at
$1,200; while Fair Board ex
penditures for ribbons will amount
to $1,800.
Increases in cash offerings have
lieen effected in practically all of
the major classes, according to.

Biggest single cash offering
$11,493 including $1,350 in special
breed awards is in the beef cattle
class. Other large offerings in
clude: 4-TT Club $12,425: dairy
cattle $10,790 including special a

has caused widespread losses a

sudden death. Symptoms resemble
anthrax. blackleg, and other

animals easily on grain feeding
seems to help prevent it, the
