Commercial Club Exhibits 8 Cups to Be Presented Among the awards and tro-j phies to be presented at the Holt county fair this year will be eight provided by the Chambers Com mercial club. The awards will be presented in these categories: Champion baby beef. Champion stocker-feeder. Champion dairy heifer. Champion cow and calf. Champion breeding heifer. Champion entry in dairy show manship. Champion entry in swine show manship. Champion entry in beef show manship. The Holt County Agricultural society, sponsor of the fair, will prent a trophy to the all-round present a trophy to the all-around the two-night rodeo competition. Fair dates are August 18-21 The trophies are being exhibited in the Dr. H. D. Gildersleeve display window at O'Neill until August 2. Dairy Division in Rehearsal— PAGE Harlan Saltz was liost to the members of the dairy di vision of the Eagle Hustlers 4-H club with the Harold Asher and Harley Kennedy families co-hosts. Twenty members and nine vis itors were busy with lessons on showing and judging ol dairy an imals at the fair which will be held at Chambers August 18, 19, 2U and 21. The 0-10-2 books were com pleted and a discussion was held concerning the Norfolk District dairy show August 6 at Norfolk. A planning meeting and re hearsal tor the radio 4-H program was held at the Garhardt Luebeke home Thursday evening, July 17 A picnic dnuier was served at the park at O'Neill precedmg the program. t A subsequent general meeting of the beef, dairy and tractor di vision was held at the Garhardt Luebeke home. A take-in lunch ol sandwiches, cake and drink was served. Secret Pals Are Revealed— PAGE—The Stitch and Chattel club members were guests ol Mrs. Soren Sorensen, jr., Wed nesday, July 16. The ladies die lancywork tor the hostess. Se cret pais were revealed and new names drawn for the coming year Mre. Lyle Johnson was electee present and Mrs. Sorensen wai named news reporter.
