Stuart Drill Team Contest Winner EWING The Stuart firing squad won first place in the drill con test held Sunday evening at the lighted football field in Ewing, and was presented the trophy by the American Legion, Sanders Post 214. The Ewing Legion and auxil iary were hosts for the Holt county convention Sunday. July 13. The Atkinson American Legion squad won second place and Page was third. Harold Rice of Neligh, district comandcr. and A1 Sommers of Norfolk, district service officer, were guest speakers. Routine business was trans. acted at the Imsinoss session of the Legion. Mr, Robert Lowery of O'Neill district president, presided at the Auxiliary session. Mrs. Myrtle Kimes, who has been a guest at the Earl Bil lings home for several days, re turned to her home in Clearwater, Sunday, accompanied by her sis ter, Mrs. Carrie Bernhardt, who will hi- her guest for a few days. Linda and Mary Lynn went to Ericson on Sunday to attend the funeral of Bob Foster, a friend of the family. Mr. and Mrs. Coe Butler of Lincoln were weekend guests of her sister, Miss Vina Wood.
