Dollinger, son of Mrs. David A. Dollinger, 803 West Broadway, Monmouth. The wedding will take place in the First Methodist church of Mon mouth Sunday, August 10, at 3 p m. The reception will be held in the church parlor. She gave a history of the program of music and de monstrated the various types of music. Ruth Evelyn Mewmaw played selections on the saxa phone and she and her mother played a piano duet. Mrs. E. H. Farnsworth will be the hostess for the August lesson on social security. Mrs Edgar Stauffer will be the leader and will show slides on national flower gardens. Departing Missionary Is Honored— PAGE—Rev. and Mrs. Bur] Baty went to Venus Tuesday eve ning, July 8. here they joined the Wesleyan church group, relatives and friends for a farewell party for Miss Leora Strope, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Strope, at the Vernon Strope home. Miss Strope left Wednesday for Omaha where she boardded a plane for Miami, Fla., and Port Au Prince, Haiti, where she will serve a three-year term as a missionary nurse. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Stewart and Mickey visited with Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Witherwax at Stockton, Calif , while on their recent trip. The Witherwaxs were residents of the Redbird neighborhood before going to California. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Asher and family left Saturday for Rapid City, S.D., after a week with his mother, Mrs. Frieda Asher, and other relatives here and at Inman and O'Naill. Mrs. Asher and the children, who had spent several weeks here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Appleby at In man, returned home with him Mr. and Mrs. Henry Troshyn ski, Brian and Jack Troshynski of Detriot, Mich., were Monday vis itors in the home of their broth er, Dan Troshynski, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller of Ft. Madison. Ia., were overnight guests of Mrs. A. O. Weber Satur day enroute to Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Trowbridge were supper guests there and Mr. and Mrs Forest Henderson and Eldon were evening guests. Mr. MiUer is a cousin of Mrs. Trowbridge and Mrs. Henderson. Voorhises. pioneers of Orchard community, were unable to attend They were \V. R. Voor hies and wife of Olympia, Wash., and W. C. Voortues and wife of Omaha. Fifty-two of the 130 descendants were present. There was one birth in the past year but no deaths or marriages. Mrs. A1 Ludwiek was the oldest member present and Rodney Gartner son of Mr. and Mrs. Don ald Gartner of Chambers, was the youngest member present. Attending the reunion were: Mr and Mrs. C. D.
