Weekend guests at the home of

Mr. anti Mrs. Elvin Hamilton
were hosts at a fish fry at their
home Thursday evening, June 19.

Miss Put Hahlbeck, who is at
tending school in Norfolk, was
a weekend guest of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hahlbeck,
and family.
Mr. anti Mrs. Roy Tuttle and
family attended' the rodeo at O'
Neill on Sunday. Others from Ew
ing in attendance were Mr. and
Mrs. Archie Tuttle and daughters
and Mr. and Mrs. Vearl Tuttle
and family.
Mrs. Robert lams, Janell and
Donna and Mrs. Everett Ruby
were in Norfolk on f business Sat
urday.
Mr. and Mrs Coe Butler of
Lincoln came to Ewing Monday
and are guests at the home of
her sister, Miss Vina Wood, and
other relatives in the community.
Sunday afternoon and 6 o'clock
dinner guests at the Hans Peter
son home were his mother, Mrs.
Curs ten Peterson, Christine Lor
en/en and Margaret Avery, all of
Neligh.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grim ar
rived home Thursday, June 19,
from a two weeks trip visiting
in the East. They visited Mr, and
Mrs. William O'Malley at Middle
town, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Wil
liam Heichel and family of Mans
field, 0. Mr. O'Malley is a broth
er and Mrs. Heichel, a sister of
Mrs. Grim. The O'Malleys and
Grims were sightseers in New
York City, Washington, D. C.,
Gettysburg and other places of
interest. Mr. and Mrs. Grim ac
companied Addison SlOuthower as
far as Chicago and spent a day
there, continuing home by train.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Angus of
Lincoln were overnight guests
Saturday at the home of her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson Mc
Donald.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Angus ac
companied by their son and wife,
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Angus of Lin
coln, went to Grand Island on
Sunday where they met Mrs. Max
Angus and son, Randy, and her
mother, Mrs. David Gibb of Plain
ville, Hans. A picnic dinner was
enjoyed in a park and the after
noon was spent visiting.

in Reunion—
CHAMBERS—The second annua1
reunion of the decendants of Mr
and Mrs. Myron D. Carpenter of
Neligh was held Sunday, June 22,
at Ford park in O’Neill. Forty
four relatives and two friends
were present, coming from
Omaha, Tilden, Neligh Oakdale.
Chambers, Elgin, Plainview, and
Atkinson, Sioux City, la., and
Minneapolis, Minn.
The inclement weather curtail
ed activities and prevented many
from attending a picnic dinner.
Visiting and reminiscing was
enjoyed by those present.
Auxiliary Will

The regular meeting of the
American Legion auxiliary, Si
monson unit 93, will be Wednes
day, July 2, at 8 p.m. in the Le
gion hall.
There will be installation of the
officers for _1958-’59.
