Visitors Dig for Den of Coyotes ROCK FALLS—Sunday evening visitors at the Don Hynes home were entertained in an unusual manner, by jolnning the Hynes family at digging out a den of coyote pups near by. As reward for a lot of hard work the hunters succeeded in getting only two. It seemed there was more than one room in that underground home and some of the varmints escaped to anoth er compartment. Those participating and looking on included Mr. and Mrs BiU Yantai and children and nephew, Gene Yantzi, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Derickson and boys, and John Richardson. J., arrived at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blake Benson Saturday night for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Vequist and family attended the Mahony Ramold wedding dance in O’Neill Tuesday night, June 10. Mr and Mrs. Clarence Tadd and daughter, Terrie, arrived at the John Schultz home Monday evening, June 16. to join their sons and spend a few days with the Schultz family. Mrs. Tadd is the former Virginia Schultz. Mr. and Mrs. John Grutsch of O'Neill spent from Thursday until Saturday evening at the farm with their son, Elwin. Well, if I hurry perhaps I can get the yard mowed between showers. youths sentenced EWING—Four Ewing high school age youths are serving sus pended 30-day jail sentences by being restricted to their homes between 7 p.m., and 7 a m. The sentences were imposed l>y Police Judge Ernest Norwood. They are paroled to their parents. The youths were chaged with vandal izing the Ewing pupllc school in terior. Try Frontier want ads for quick results! _ Mother Dies at 82; Burial at St. John EWING — Mrs Frank Schrad received word of the death of her mother, Mrs Josephine Schiefer ecke. 82, at a West Point hospital where she had been a patient for about a year and a half. She made her home for a short time with Mrs. Schrad. Funeral services were held at 9 a m.. Saturday, June 14, at St. John the Baptist Catholic church at West Point. Rosary was held at Elgin and burial was in St. John’s cemetery. Mrs. Schieferecke is survived by three daughters—Mrs. Frank Schrad of Ewing. Mrs. Carl Reut er and Mrs Arthur Reuter, both of Hudson, Mich.; 14 grandchil dren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Bigge of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 1939.
