D. Funeral services were held Sat-1 urday, June 7, in the Zion Luther-; an church in Mitchell, at 10 a.m, and also at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Venus at 3 p.m Burial was in Grimpton cemetery. Pallbearers were James Mott, jr., Donald Mott, Leo Mlady, Her man Block, Elmer Kaczor and Frank Doty, all nephews of the late Miss Mott. She was born at Walnut July 31, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. George F Mott. In 1924 she moved to Verdigre with her parents and re sided there until their death In 1943 she moved to Mitchell S. D., where she was employed until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Mott; one brother, Frank Mott of Spencer, four sisters — Minnie, Hattie, Josie, and Laura. Survivors include: Brothers— George of O’Neill, James and Pet er, both of Verdigre, and William of Spencer; sisters Mary C. Han sen of Fenton, la., Josephine Groeling of Orchard, Lillian Bra mon of Mitchell, S. D., and Edna Walton of Boone la. Joe Tomjack, Wife Mark 57th Wedding EWING— Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tomjack of Ewing celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 1, at their home in Ewing. A picnic dinner was served on the lawn at 1 o’clock and the af ternoon hours were spent inform ally. Helen Martha Vitt June Bride Here in Church Rites At a 9:30 a.m. mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic church here Monday, June 9, Miss Helen Mar tha Vitt of O’Neill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Vitt of Tuc son, Ariz., formerly of O’Neill, was united in marriage to Max L. Kunz, son of Mrs. Joe Kunz of Stuart and the late Mr. Kunz. Very Rev. Timothy O’Sullivan performed the double-ring cere mony before an altar decorated with pink and white peonies. Gary and Bob Vitt, cousins of the bride, were acolytes. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a floor-length gown fashioned of imported French lace over Lame. It featured a high neckline with a Peter Pan collar and fitted sleeves which came to points at the wrists. It was adorned with seed pearls at the wrists and down the back. Her fingertip veil was caught by a crown of seed pearls. She carried a cas cade bouquet of white pom poms with a removable corsage. Miss Mary Frances Vitt of Tuc son, Ariz., was her sister’s maid of-honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Dorothea, Catherine and Margaret Vitt, al sisters of the bride, from Tucson. They wore princess style waltz-length gowns of blue and silver lace over blue taffeta. Their hats, mits and shoes were of matching blue and silver. They carried white pom pom cascades with pink and white net ribbon. Serving as his brother’s best man was Rollie J. Kunz of Stu art. Ushers were John J. Vitt and Paul Kunz. The bridegroom’s attendants were I^arry Pribil of O’Neill, Willis Berry of Stuart and Bob Lommer of Atkinson. They wore navy business suits and had white carnation bouton nieres. l no onaes inuuia — in a navy dress with white ac cessories and a pink feathered carnation corsage. The bride groom’s mother chose a rose dress and had a white feathered carnation corsage. Miss Alvara Ramm of Stuart accompanied Mrs. Jim Jarman who sang ” Panis Angelicas , •Ave Maria”, “O Lord, I Am Not Worthy” and “On This Day, O Beautiful Mother” as the bnde placed her bouquet before the altar of the Blessed Mother. After a dinner for the immed iate families, a reception follow ed at the Town House from l to 4:30 p.m. Mrs. Dave Thomas cut the wedding cake baked by Mrs. Joe Gokie. Miss Mary Ellen Boyle poured and the Misses Rita Boyle, Theresa Pribil and Betty Schneider served. Mrs. Grant Welte, a sister of the bridegroom, had charge of the guest book Mrs. John J. Vitt and Mrs. Larry Pribil took care of the gifts. For traveling the bride wore 8 black and white sheath dress will white accessories. After a shorl trip, the couple will reside on 8 farm east of Stuart. Mrs. Kunz is a graduate of St Mary’s academy. She was em ployed at the O’Neill Nationa bank three years. Mr. Kunz is a graduate of Stu art high school and farms eas1 of Stuart. Leo Carney and his sister, Mrs Katherine Craig, attended Jack Carney’s graduation from Creigh ton university.
