Sophie Murphy, Richard Ingraham United at Stuart STUART — Bouquets of white and blue mums decorated the altars of St. Boniface Cathode church at Stuart Saturday mor ning, May 3, 1958, when Miss Sophie Murphy of Denver, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Mur phy of Stuart became the bride ot Richard Ingraham of Denver, son of Mr. and Mrs William In graham of White wood, S.D-, at 9 a.m., with Rev. A J. Paschang performing the double ring cere mony. Nupital music was Mass of S. Maria Gautte which was sung by the St. Boniface Male Choir with Sr Vera as organist. The bride given in marriage by tier father, uppeared in a lovely gown of white nylon silk, with a chapel length train. The fitted bodice of imported lace with sab rina neckline was trimmed with seguins and seed pearls with an empire waistline and long tap ered sleeves which came to a point at the wrist. Her finger tip veil was held in place with a seed pearl net crown. She carried a white orchid on a white prayer book with stephanotis and stream ers, which was a gift from the bridegroom The old tradition was carried out with something old, new. borrowed and blue. The bride’s sisters were her • attendants with Miss Mary Mur phy of Denver, maid of honor, wearing a cocktail length gown of powder blue crystalette over taf feta, with a Grecian waistline and a flowing sash. Irvin Ingraham of Whitewood, S.D., acted as bestman tor his brother, with other attendants being brothers of the bride. Henry and James Murphy. Ushers were Patrick and Mark Murphy cou sins of the bride. The bride's mother wore a mint green lace dress with white accessories and the bridegroom s motner wore a nylon print dress with pink and white accessories. Both wore baby orchard cor sages. following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained at a dinner at noon for 150 guests at the Stuart auditorium which was preparted by the Christian Moth ers. A reception was held for 150 guests from 3 to 5 p.m., with the bride's sister, Rita Mur phy, in charge of the guest Ixxik. Misses Evelyn and Helen Kaup, cousins of the bride were in charge of the gifts. The beautiful three-tier wedding cake was baked and decorated by Miss Connie Coufal and was trimmed in the bride's colors of blue and silver, The wedding cake was cut and served by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Clement Murphy and the groom’s cake was cut and served by the bride's aunt, Mrs Ed Schneider. Another aunt of the bride, Mrs. Sylvester Kramer poured. The bride wore as her going away suit a powder blue cotton knit dress and after a short wed ding trip, will be at home after May 10, at 1109 Marion St., Den ver, Colo. The groom is a graduate of Spearfish, S.D., high school and is now employed with Mountain States Mattress Co., Denver, Colo. Out-of-town relatives attending the wedding were his mother, Mrs. William Ingraham and brother, Irwan, of Whitewood, S.D.; Mrs. Jerry Martin of Lead, S.D.; Mrs. James Meyer of Stur gis, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs Orville Puckett of Pender; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hindmarsh of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs Peter Deucher and Paulette of Bison, S.D.; Mrs. Mary James, Kathryn McShane and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Judge of Atkinson. Educational Trip Next Week— The juniors and seniors of St. Mary's academy plan to leave next Thursday by bus on an edu cational trip to Denver, Colo. Mother-Daughter Banquet Held Here The first annual mother-daugh ter banquet, sponsored by the Presbyterian Women's associa tion was held at Fellowship Hall Monday evening. The program was centered around “Hearts and Flowers". Mrs. Milo Landreth of Page was toastmistress. Mrs. George C. Robertson read the theme, taken from proverbs 31. She gave a few comments on mothers in the bible and the charges for moth ers for Mother’s day. Mrs. Harry Petersen gave the welcome, “Hearts” and the re sponse, "Bouquet to Mother” was given by her daughter. Miss Jane. Recognition was given by Mrs, Roy Humrich who presented geranium plants to Mrs. V. C. Johnson and Mrs. Felix Hend rick, who headed four generation groups. Those in Mrs. Johnson's family present were her daugh ter, Mrs. M. L. Harmon and her two daughters, Mrs. A1 Vorce with Sheryl and Mrs. Roy Berner with Suzanne. Mrs. Hendrick’s daughter is Mrs. Landreth, the toastmistress, and her daughter,, Mrs. Raymond Harmon and Rhonda of Page. Mrs. Laura Walker, the mother of Mrs. L. A. Burgess, was the oldest mother present. Mrs. Paul Shelhamer was the youngster there. "Mother in Candleglow" narra ted by Mrs. William EfTwards, was presented by Linda Shel hamer, Ellen Artus, Cheryl Grav es, Jeanne Crabb, Sheryl Brady and Alma Nutter. The Tappettes, under the direc tion of Mrs. Vivian Melena, per formed. They were Lu Ann Shep herd, Tilen Al^art, Gaylene An thony of Inman, Bobby Joe Moore, Bruce Ann McKamy and Maureen Shemaker. Miss Diane Gillespie accompan ied Mis. Charles F. Nutter, Mrs. C. L. Brady, jr., and Mrs. Grant Peacock, who sang “Girl of My Dreams” and "Kentucky Babe”. Mrs. K. L. Van Voorhis is presi dent of the Women’s association. Mrs. Roy Shelhamer was pro gram chairman and Mrs. Earl Hunt was dinner chairman. The Men’s Council, headed by William Edwards, took charge of the serving and the kitchen. D. H. Clauson was chairman of the waiters. Beilins Head Adult Fellowship— New officers elected by the adult fellowship at the Methodist church Tuesday evening are; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beilin, presidents; Mr. and Mrs. Helmut Arnold, vice-presidents; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Eppenbach, secre tary-treasurers. Mr. and Mrs. A. Neil Dawes and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peacock were in charge of the meeting which bore a gypsy theme. The group met in a tent and had a weiner roast over a campfire.
