John Erb Rites at Lake Wilson John Erb, 62, native of O’Neill, died Friday, April 18, in Murray County (Minn.) hospital where he had been a patient one week. He was hospitalized following a heart attack. Funeral services were conduc ted Tuesday, April 22, at the Methodist church at Lake Wilson, Minn., where he resided. He was the son of Jacob and Fannie Erb and was born Jan uary 5, 1896, near O'Neill where he received his education. On August 7, 1925 he married Hilda Swanson. They became the parents of four children. The family lived on a farm north of Hadley, Minn., until 1934 when they moved into Hadley. Mr. Erb began working for the Minnesota highway department. In 1937 he was transferred to Red wood Falls where they resided until 1929, when they moved to Lake Wilson. Survivors include: Widow — Hilda; sons—Roy of Marshall, Minn., and Dean of Lake Wilson; daughters—Mrs. Duane (Arliss) Helmke of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Edward (LaBeta) Kass of St. Petersberg, Fla.; eight grand children; sisters—Mrs. Lizzie Os wald of Hartstown, Pa., and Mrs. L A. (Catherine) Ott of O’Neill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Ott and her husband and Mr. and Mrs. George Curran at ended the funeral.
