and Miss Gloria Burson. who ap
peared in yellow net over satin.
Flowergirl was a sister of Miss
Burson. She was gowned in white
net over satin.
The bridegroom was attired
in a grey suit. He was attended
by his brother, her brother and a
friend.

tine, an aunt of the bride, poured

the guests along with coffee and
punch. The young couple will
make their home on a farm near
by.
The bride is a niece of Frank
Pierce of Amelia.

World War I, Dies—
Bill Becker, 66, a veteran of
World War I. died at Exeter.
Mrs. Ed Humpal, Mrs. Max
Hamik, Mrs. Josephine Judge
and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Jansen
drove to Exeter to attend the
funeral services.
Mrs. Judge and Mrs. Jansen
are sisters of the deceased.

Kubik Reenlists
Pvt.-2 Joseph W. Kubik
(above), son of Mrs. Theresa
Kubik of O'Neill, is expected
home this weekend Trom Ft.
Lewis, Wash., where he was as
signed to the 34th armored di
vision until his separation early
in April. A five-year veteran of
of army service, Kubik plans to
reenlist upon • completion of a
.30-day leave. He is an armbr
crewman and spent more than
three years overseas.
53d Anniversary
Planned by Church
The 53d annual homecoming of
Center Union church near O’Neill
wil be held Saturday evening,
May 3, 8 o’clock, and all day Sun
day, May 4.
Sunday services will be at 10
a.m., 1:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.
Rev. Melvin Grosenbach of
Gordon and Rev. Alton Perron of
Long Pine will be guest speakers.
Reverend Grosenbach is a for
mer pastor of the church.
The Sunshine Bible academy of
Miller. S.D., will provide special
music and singing.
A film wil be shown Saturday
night, "Proclaim Liberty”.

Mrs. Kubichek keted
on 79th Anniversary
Mrs. Susan Kubichek, who was
Ixirn in Caanda and came to Holt
county when she was a
small girl, Sunday, April 27, cele
brated her 79th birthday anniver
sary.
She was honored at the home of j
her daughter, Mrs. Kieth Abart,
at a family dinner.

ford Kubichek of Casper, Mrs.
Rose Long of Barstow, Calif., and
Mrs. Kate Timlin of Caspter.
Mrs. Kubichek, whose maiden i
name was Susan Ernst, was bom
at Wesllesly, Ont., Can. She and i
her husband, the late Frank Kubi-1
check, became the parents of 10
children. One son, Ted, is deceas
ed. Her husband died in the fall of
1939.

Mrs. C. E. Worth, reenlisted Tues
day, April 22, at Omaha for four

spent two years in Japan.
He and his wife, the former De
Maris Lindberg, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Lindberg, were
married April 6. They plan to
leave late Friday or Saturday tor

geant Worth will be stationed
with the 63rd air reserve squad
ron as a radar specialist. En
route, they will stop at Wichita,
Kans., for a visit with his brother
and wife, T/Sgt. and Mrs. Char
les Worth.
They will make their home in
San Bernadino, Calif. Both have
relatives living there or nearby.

garden.
