Mr. and Mrs. Richard Trowbridge and family of Page and Mrs. Jerry Summers and children of Clarks ville, Tenn.. were also present. Spring Concert Is Presented at Page PAGE—The annual spring con cert was presented at the Page high school auditorium Wednes day evening, April 9. Leonard Sawyer, bandmaster, conducted a massed band per formance, also conducted for solos, duets and small groups. Mrs. Merwyn French, jr., vo cal teacher, was in charge of the voice presentations in solo, triple trio and chorus numbers. Accompanists were Linda Fish er, Ruth Evelyn Mewmaw, Kay Nissen, Connie Riege, Myrna Heiss and Janice Crumly. Piano solos were given by Donna Crumly and Ruth Evelyn Mewmaw. Members of the Band Mothers organization served pie and cof fee following the concert. The proceeds were $15.35. Lampshire Changes from West Indies to South America PAGE—Mrs. Gilbert Lampshire of Polk and her son and daugh ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lampshire, recently of Port O' Spain, Trinidad, BWI, were over night guests Wednesday, April 9, of the former’s mother, Mrs. Jud Russel. Mr. Lampshire has been em polyed as a geologist in the British W'est Indies and is en route to Cochabamba, Bolivia, S. A., where he will be employed by Bolivia - California Petroleum company. Mr. Lampshire left Friday for Wynne, Ark., where he was an overnight guest of his brother in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mc Kenzie. He proceeded by plane to his destination. He will rotate a three- week work period in the jungle with an equivalent period of time at home. Mrs. Lampshire is the former Miss Dorothy Witte, who was reared at the Mother Jewel home at York under the supervision of Supt. and Mrs. J. N. Smith who spent 13 years in the mission school at Cochabamba. The pres ident of Bolivia was a pupil of his. Mrs. Lampshire is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan university. Her husband was graduated from the University of Nebraska. Mrs. Lampshire will follow her husband to South America as soon as he can make satisfac tory housing arrangements. The city, of Cochabamba has an elevation of 9,000 feet above sea level and has a population of 100,000 people with a great num ber of residents from the United Ct-n toe Fullbright Honor to Phyllis Kiltz CHAMBERS Miss Phyllis Kiltz of Janesville, Wise., daughter oi Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kiltz of Cham bers, has been awarded a Full bright fellowship grant to attend the 1958 summer seminar foi American teachers of the classics at the American academy, hi Rome. She will leave for Italy about June 21. Miss Kiltz is a graduate of Chambers high school and Wayne State Teachers college and has a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Cali fornia . At present she is chairman of the Latin department in the Janes ville senior high school. Elaine Dankert to Retain Doll— CHAMBERS—The American Le gion auxiliary unit 320, met Tues day evening, April 8, at the home of Mrs. Don Dankert. Mrs. L. O. Lenz presided. The national anthem and the song of the month, “The Old Rug ged Cross." was sung. Mrs. Genevieve Bell, child wel fare chairman, requested that all who wish to furnish articles foi the layette do so as soon as pos sible. It was voted to permil Elaine Dankert to keep the Pan American doll she dressed for the juior auxiliary after it had beei judged. Volunteers were sought ioi poppy day. Mrs. Reuben Peltzei and Mrs. E.
