BASSETT Miss Lillian Sandall,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie
Sandall of Bassett, was united in
marriage new year’s day with
Clifford R. Dick, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John F. Dick of O'Neill. The
ceremony was performed at 2:30
p.m., at the Methodist church in
Bassett by Dr. Harold C. Sandall
of Lincoln, uncle of the bride.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father before an altar
banked with white mums and
greenery. She wore a white gown
of whispering miramist taffeta
and imported Venice lace. Long
fitted sleeves tapered to points at
the wrists, und re-embroidered
floral motifs of lace patterned the
sweetheart neckline of the bodice
which was fitted and gathered
from a front panel. The lace was
repeated in appliqued sprays be
low the waist of the wide skirt
flared into a chapel length, featur
ing a V-shaped floating panel in
back. A queen's crown of rose
point lace, encrusted with sequins
and pearls, held a cathedral veil
of bridal illusion.
The bride’s bouquet was a cas
cade spray of pink delight roses
and ivy. Her cultured pearls and
earrings were gifts of the bride
groom.
Miss Kay Ann Sandall of Bas
sett. cousin of the bride, was
maid-of-honor. She wore a floor
length dress of raspberry crystal
ette fashioned with a softy draped
surplice liodice aboved a molded
midriff. Her matching hat was
trimmed with velvet and she car
ried a colonial spray of pink roses
and carnations.
The bridemaids were Ruth
Blake of Bassett, Elaine Andrews
of Chadron and Naomi J. Nelson
of O'Neill, who wore matching
gowns of pastel turquose fash
ioned like the maid of honor's.
They also carried similiar bou
quets and wore matching hats.
The Misses Joan Sandall of
Bassett and Karen llornback of
Spencer, candlelighters, were
dressed in similiar dresses with
wrist bouquets.

was hestman for his brother and
groomsmen were Edward Sandall,
brother of the bride, Niel Christen
sen of Audubon, la., and Bernard

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hender- j
son of Orchard have announced
the engagement of their daugh
ter, Miss Bonidel (above), to
Dean Clyde, son of Mr and
Mrs Melvin Clyde of O'Neill
Miss Henderson was graduated
from Orchard high school, and
Mr Clyde is a graduate of O'
Neill high school Both are em
ployed in O'Neill. The couple ,
plans a June wedding.

Ushers were Gordon Lornez of
O'Neill and Shelton Homback of
Spencer.
The bride’s mother wore a med
ium blue and the bridegroom's
mother wore a black dress, both
with pink accessories and rose cor
sages.
l>elbert Dick and Mrs. Ernest
Bussinger of Bassett, cousin of
the bride, were soloists. They
were accompanied by Miss Jean
Ingrid Sandall of Lincoln, cousin
of the bride. Mrs. Bussinger sang
"Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life”, "Be
cause" and "Always”. Mr. Dick
sang "The Wedding Prayer" and
"O Perfect Love”.
A reception for 250 guests was
held in the church parlors follow
ing the wedding ceremony. Mr.
and Mrs. Art Weber of Bassett
were reception hosts.
Kay Gregory of Scottsbluff, Mrs.
Keith Oatman of Lincoln and Mrs.
Wesley Sandall of Bassett were in
charge of the guest book.
Mrs. Karl Linke and Mrs. Clar
ence Ernst of O'Neill presided at
the serving table. The wedding
cake was baked and decorated bv
Mrs. Mark Spann and cut by Mrs.
Ben Ammon, aunt of the bride, as
sisted by Mrs. Mollie Buchenford.
The four-tier cake was circled
by sweetheart roses and centered
on a table with a white cutwork
emhroidered cloth. Large white
glow candles flanked the cake and !
were set amid net ruffles and
ribbons in the bride’s colors of!
aqua and raspberry.

Lou Hall, Mrs. Harry Titus, Mrs. j
Cliff Turpin, Mrs. William Arnholt,

ved by Gay and Rita Sandall of
Bassett, neices of the bride.
The couple left on a wedding
trip after which they will be at
home on the Red Cedar ranch
near Bassett.
The bride will be graduated
from the University of Nebraska
in June and was graduated from
Rock county high school. She also
attended Wayne State Teachers
college for two years.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of O’Neill high school and served
two years in the army.
Out-of-town guests attended the
ceremony from Ainsworth, Spen
cer. O’Neill, Chadron, Wayne,
Wakefield, Lincoln, Omaha, Cham
bers, Scottsbluff, and Audubon,
la.
A pre-nupital dinner was held at
the Range cafe for 40 guests pre-1
ceding the ceremony. A rehearsal
party was held Tuesday evening
for 30 guests at the Archie San
dall home.

1 -30 o'clock dessert luncheon at
the home of Mrs. H. L. Lindborg.

Kruse.

for a 1 o’clock luncheon at the
Town House and for bridge at
the home of Mrs. L. A. Burgess.
