Former Members of Pleasant Day Club Receive Corsages ROCK FALLS — Pleasant Day club met Wednesday, December 11 with Mrs William D Claus sen. Former members were invited by Mrs. Claussen to attend this Christmas party meeting. They were Mrs. John Grutsch, sr., Mrs. Celia Grutsch, Mrs. John Schultz. Mrs John Kersenbrock, Mrs. Orville Miller and her mother, Mrs. Bob Worth and Mrs. Marie Lewis. Each of these ladies w’as presentel a Christmas corsage by the hostess. The club was presented a nice box of chocolates by Mrs. Celia Grutsch. Roll call was answered by members donating various art icles of clothing for five-year-old Dr. Donald E. Other Rock Falls News The Eagle Creek 4-H club had a Christmas party on Sunday at the Lyle Vequist home with all members present. De cember 12, were Francis Stems and the Sam Derickson family. The Lyle Vequist family at tended the Christmas program at St. Mary's on Sunday evening and reported an enjoyable evening. Gwenda and Trudy Schultz ac companied Russy Johnson t o Christ's Lutheran church Satur day afternoon to practice for the Christmas program. Debbie Sch ultz also has a part in it, but was sick with a cold and unable to participate in practice that day. Mr and Mrs. O. J. Drueke and children spent last Thursday eve ning at the Don Hynes home. Mrs. George Calkins spent Friday afternoon with her daugh ter, Mrs. Don Hynes, while the men attended a public sale. Dur ing the afternoon she gave Mrs. Hynes a home permanent. Dan Rakes helped Gordon John son with some work at the ranch on Friday and Saturday. The evening was spent at the Lowell Johnson home. LeRoy Snyder was a Sunday evening caller at the John Schultz home. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder are living on the William Claussen farm, having moved there re-i cently. Rev. and Mrs. Glen Kennicott were afternoon callers at the Al bert Widtfeldt home one day last week. Mrs. Floyd Johnson and Linda were Monday supper guests of the Lloyd Gallagher family; after ward they and Pat visited the John Cleary family. Mrs. Henry Vequist went to Douglas, Wyo., over the weekend where she attended the funeral of a cousin, Oliver Nachtman. Plan for Initiation January 8— INMAN — About 10 members attended the Wedensday evening, December 11, meeting of Arbut us Rebekah lodge at the IOOF hall. Mrs. James McMahan, N.G., was in charge. All brought dish towels to be sent to the IOOF home at York for Christmas. Plans were com pleted for the installation meet ing Wednesday, January 8, when the Page installing team will be present. A covered dish lunch was en joyed by those present.
