ROCK FALLS Less than two
weeks till Christmas. That’s just
fine, the youngsters think, but
how can the elders possibly get
eevrything done in so short a
time? Somehow they usually man
age, even to the last minute shop
ping.
Basketball season is on in full
force, creating more excitement

On Monday evening, following
a mild day of 65 degree tempera
ture, Gwenda, Trudy and Debbie
Schultz, accompanied by their
mother, joined up with their fath
er and grandfather in what was
meant to be an exciting coon
hunt, but it was one of those
times when the wary varmints
weren't prowling. No doubt the
master hunter will have to take
them again to prove that he and
his dogs can still tree a coon.

at Celia Honored
CELIA—A number members of
Celia extension club and their
families met at the LeRoy Hoff
man home Friday evening for a
party honoring two newlywed cou
ples of the community, Mr. and
Mrs. Stanley Johnson and Mr. and
Mrs. Alex Frickel also Mr. and
Mrs. William Maloun and son,
Billy, who are leaving the com
munity in the near future.
Each family received a gift.
Games were played and prizes
awarded to Mrs. Stanley Johnson.

EWING—A hilarious birthday
party was held Wednesday after
noon, December 4, to 5:30 o’clock
at the youth center in Ewing, hon
oring the birthday anniversaries
of Jack Kropp, who was 13-years
old December 10; Jim Kropp, 11
years-old December 11, and Rich
ard Kropp, who will be 10-years
old December 16.
Their sister, Miss Sharon
Kropp, a junior in the Ewing high
schol, whose birthday is also in
December, was hostess, assisted
by Miss Janet Noffke.
Invited guests included the boys
and girls of the seventh and eigh
th, fifth and sixth, and third and
fourth grades, all classmates of
the honored guests. Games were
played by the group, followed by
the opening of the many” gift
packages.
Refresments were served by
Sharon and Janet. All the prepara
tion was also done by Miss Shar
on.
