Nuptials in Omaha
ATKINSON The marriage of
j Mrs. Martha Pensas of Omaha
and Stanley V. Johnson of At
kinson was solemnized at the
Park Forest Presbyterian church
in Omaha Sunday, September 29.
Rev. Wesley A. Swanson, pas
tor, officiated at the 4 o'clock
afternoon ceremony.
Attendants to the couple were
Mr. and Mrs. Alber C. Johnson
of Lyons, a brother and sister-in
law of the bridegroom.
Following the ceremony, a din
ner was served at Hilltop House.
Mr. and Mi's. Johnson left im
mediately on a trip to Chicago,
111., and points in Minnesota
wheie they will visit relatives
and friends.
They will be at home in At
kinson.
Arriving Saturday at the John
C. Watson home will be Mr. and
Mrs. Rex Aldinger of Alexander,
la., who will be guests until
Monday.
Former Chambers Resident**
Celebrate Anniversary—
ORCHARD Mr. and Mrs. H.
YV. LaRue of Pasadena, Calif.,
former residents of Chambers,
were honored Tuesday evening,
September 24, at the home of Mrs.
Daisy Johnson in Orchard.
The occasion was their 58th
wedding anniversary. Other
guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Hall of Royal. Mr. and Mis.
LaRue lived on a farm near
Chambers for many years before
moving to California. Mr. LaRue
is 80 and his wife, 77. They have
been visiting friends in this lo
cality.
Mrs. Nettie Widtfeldt was a
weekend guest of her daughter,
Mrs. Melvin Spangler at Ewing.

evening, September 24, at the
home of Mrs. R. H. Shain with
