EVERY MONTH MORE AND MORE thrifty Buyers and CONSIGNORS are sharing in the many benefits and profitable advantages offer ed at VERDIGRE LIVESTOCK MARKET. It’s GOOD BI.'SI INESS, because you get REAL ACTION at our AUCTION. We had a large run of hogs on today’s sale with as many as 76 different consignors marketing their hogs. We are also pleased at the nice run of cattle—around 150 head were sold on a steady basis. Extreme top on hogs was $19.45 and it took fancy butchers weighing from 210 to 225 pounds to bring over $19.00 per cwt. The buyers were really bearing down on the underweight hogs with the No. 2 and No. 3 butchers sell ing from $18.40 to $18.90. Please do not try to sell hogs weighing under 200 pounds and not expect a considerable loss in price. Sows sold from $16.75 to $18.50 with some of the lightweight sows selling nearly as well as butchers. There is still a good demand for pigs but the buyers are trying to buy them cheaper.
