ber 6. Mrs. Davis is very ill. She
enjoys hearing from her old

While in California she visited
her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. R.

tana. and spent two weekends
with her sister. Mrs. Ted Jensen
ami family, at Gardena.
While at the Jensen home she
visited an aunt, Mrs. Florence
Spray at Castro Valley, Calif.
She hadn't seen the aunt for 28
years. She also visited an uncle.

Paula.
Mrs. Hammerberg was accom
panied as far as Omaha by a
friend, a former resident of Ce
lia. who is remembered as Mrs.
Nelson Ames but is now Mrs.
Charles Nelson of Loma Linda,
Calif.
She expects to visit relatives in
Iowa and Colorado before return
ing to her home in California.

The tour started at Wright's.
The club practiced two songs
there before starting on the tour.
They looked as each member’s
yard and the girl’s room project.

where the meeting was held.
They made plans for achieve
ment night.

EWING The Future Home
makers of America held a meet
ing at the Ewing public school
Tuesday evening, September 10.
After a sack lunch and social
hour, a business meeting was
held with Miss Beverly Rother
ham president in charge. The
district convention to lie hold at
Akinson Saturday, September 21,
was discussed. The Ewing chap
ter will have a tiooth on “Child
Care and Development”. The
chapter also will have charge of
centerpieces for the tahles and
will feature an educational
theme.
Projects for the year s work
were adopted as follows: For
the month of September—clean
up for rest rooms at school;
October redecorate the teach
er's lounge; November baskets
for the needy; December FHA
caroling followed by Christmas
party for the members; January
devoted to youth activities;
February patriotic program for
assembly; March FHA week;
April style show; May- instal
lation of officers.
