Mrs. Lyle Mitteis is teaching

227, this year. This school has
been taught by Mrs. Rachel Van
Conet for the last few years.
Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Cloyd re
ceived word early Monday of
the death of her sister, Mrs. Al
bert Billerter at Meadow Grove
who had been in poor health for
some time. The Cloyds went to
Meadow Grove Monday after
noon.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shrader
and family visited his mother,
Mrs. Mae Shrader on Sunday.
Guests Sunday evening at the
Wayne Shrader home were Mr.
and Mrs. Alfred Napier and fam

California for
Wedding Trip

Mr and Mrs. Charles Mahony of
O'Neill, became the bride of
Frames Romaine Rohde, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Romaine Rohde, of
O'Neill.
Very Rev. Timothy O'Sullivan
performed the double-ring cere
mony at a 9:30 o’clock nuptial
mass Tuesday. September 10, at
St Patrick's Catholic church.
Given in marriage by her'fath
er, the bride appeared in a white
gown of crystalette and chantilly
lace over taffeta. The molded
bodice was fashioned with a
portrait neckline and long taper
ed sleeves buttoned to the wrists.
The lace edged crystalette over
skirt revealed an underskirt of
chantilly lace, forming a bouf
fant skirt that fell into a cathed
ral train. Her nylon tulle veil was
held by a crown of orange blos
soms.
The bride’s bouquet was of
talisman roses on a white pray
er book ,a gift of the bridegroom.
Her only jewerly was a single
-brand of pearls, also a gift of
tlie bridegroom. She wore short
white gloves.
Mrs. James Gallagher served
as her sister’s matron-uf-honor,
and Mrs. Edward Hoyle and Miss
Karen Mahony served as brides
maids for their sister.
They wore toast brown lace
o v e r taffeta gowns, featuring
sabrina necklines and tiny short
sleeves with bouffant ballerina
skirts. They wore matching head
bonds of lace and taffeta with
matching slippers a n d short
white gloves. T heir bouquets
were gold and bronze mums.
Bestman was Bernard Rohde,
brothe r of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were John Harring
ton and Nick Rajnold.
Ushers were Edward Boyle, ]

A dinner was served at the
American Legion hall. A recept
tion followed from 2 until 5 o'
clock for one hundred guests.
Miss Mary Alys Dierks had
charge of the guest book. The
Misses Delores Boyle and Dor
othy Harlan had charge of the
gift table.
Waitresses were Misses Delor
es, Mary Ellen and Sharlene
Boyle and Mrs. Wendell Babl.
Mrs. Andrew Babl cut the
wedding cake which was baked
and decorated by Mrs. Matt
Beha.
Ladies who prepared the din
ner were Msdms. Leo Schneider,
■ Ralph Van Horn, Frank Shefl,
Matt Beha and Raymond Pribil.
Those assisting at the recejhon
were Mrs. James Conway; Mrs.
| Clarence Gokie and Mrs. John
Jansen.
Guests attended from Cham
bers, Ewing, Inman, Spencer,
Tilden, Cedar Rapids and North
Platte.
The bride is a graduate of St.
Mary’s academy and St. Cath
erine’s school of nursing at Oma
ha. She has been employed at
St. Anthony’s hospital the past
year.
The bridegroom also is a grad
uate of St. Mary’s and served
two years in the army. He is now
farming north of O’Neill where
the couple will make their home
after returning from a wedding
trip to California.

Mrs. Tellier was featured in a
story recently in The Frontier
as an invisible reweaver. The
Tellicrs formerly lived immedia
tely east of the water tower.

spent the weekend of September
