brother, Donald, were injured in
a one-car accident near Ewing

brought Mrs. Dorr to the O’Neill
hospital. She had been hospitaliz
ed in Omaha—a medical patient
for 10 days. Mrs. Francis Latzel
and baby are staying at the
Dorr home. . . Donald Caskey
was taken to O’Neill for medical
attention Thursday and Friday
Ora Caskey was helping out at
the Caskey farm. . . . Clarence
Finch and son and Dean and
Wayne Hamilton helped cultivate
a field of com for Bryan Finch
Wednesday, July 10. Mr. Finch
was brought home from the hos
pital Tuesday, July 9. He is
still under a doctor’s care.

had the misfortune of falling at
her home last week and injuring

he was ordained three years ago.

and white gladioli for the wedding
of Miss Cecilia Peter, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Peter of
O'Neill, and Darrel Carr, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Carr of O’
Neill. The 9 a.m. rite1 was per
formed Tuesday, July 16 by Rev.
Robert Duffy at a double ring
ceremony.

lerina length gown of white em
broidered tulle over satin. The

line with short sleeves and lace
gauntlets. Her fingertip veil
was held in place by a lace crown

Her bouquet was of white carna
tions and a pink detachable cor
sage. She wore white pearls and
matching earrings, a gift of the
bridegroom.
Mrs. Ray Walnofer, a sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jim Wal
nofer of Orchard and Miss Shar
Carr, a sister of the bridegroom.
Little Miss Carolyn Walnofer, a
niece of the bride, was flower
girl. Master Bruce Burge of
Amelia, a cousin of the bride
groom, was ring bearer.
The matron-of-honor appeared
in a pink ballerina length net over
taffeta gown. The bridesmaids
wore matching gowns, Mrs Wal
nofer in white and Miss Carr in
pink. One attendant carried pink
carnations and the other two
white carnations with sweetpeas.
Pvt. Gene Carr of Ft. Camp
bell, Ky., was his brother’s
bestman. Ushers were Raymond
Walnofer and Jim Carr. Other
attendants were Jim Walnofer
and Jim Lawrence Hendrickson.
Mis. Peter, the bride’s mother,
wore a lavender dress with white
accessories. Mrs. Carr, the
bridegroom’s mother, wore a pink
dress with white accessories.
Both had white corsages.
Miss Sharlene Shoemaker ac
companied her brother, George,
who was soloist.
A breakfast was held for the
immediate families at the M&M.
Mrs. Delbert Robertson, with
the help of of Mrs Joe Soukup
and Mrs. Joe Peter, had charge
of the lunch, which was served at
the Legion hall to a number of
relatives. A reception followed
at 2 p.m. Miss Joanne Soukup
had charge of the guest book.
Miss Viona Burgett and Miss
Patty Cunningham had charge of
the gifts.
Mrs. Clyde Burge cut the wed
ding cake. Servers were Miss
Linda Roderick, Miss Kay Mc
Carthy and Miss Marlene Peter.
Those assisting were: Mrs. Louis
Burgett, Mrs. Milton Clemens,
Mrs. Orville Svatos, Mrs. Alfred

Mrs Carr is a graduate of St.
Man s academy. Mr. Carr is an
