Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reed . . . they exchanged nuptial vows In Methodist church rites at (hamhers.—O’Neill Photo Co. Halsey-Reed Vows Read at Chambers CHAMBERS Baskets of pink and white gladioli and candlea bra decorated the Methodist church in Chambers Sunday, June 16. for the wedding of Miss Jennie Halsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Eugene Halsey of Chambers, and Richard Reed, son of Mr. and Mrs Tim Rood of Chambers. The 3 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Hamid Bon nth. church pastor. Escorted by her father, the bride appeared in a waltz length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle, which was an original by Campus Bridals The snug bodice had a jewel neckline with an illusion yoke and short sleeves. The wide tunic of lace was edged with ir redescent sequins repeating the neckline trim, banding the bodice and edging the gauntlets. Her ballerina length veil was caught with a bandeau of straw flowers. She carried white carnations with blue ribbon on a white Bible. Mrs. Duke Reed of Chambers, j a sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. She appear ed in a waltz length blue taffeta gown with an overskirt of net' and nylon lace. She carried a bou quet of white daisies with blue net and ribbon. Miss Gloria Grimes of Cham bers, cousin of the bride, was a bridesmaid. She wore a waltz length dress of yellow taffeta with an overskirt of net and nylon lace. She carried a bouquet of white daisies with yellow net and rii)l)on. Both Mrs. Reed and Miss Grimes wore white accessories. Little Misses Katthy and Linda Reed, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls. They wore dresses alike and pink with full skirts and cummerbunds. They carried pink baskets with white daisies. Dennis Reed, a nephew of the bridegroom, who was ring bearer, wore a white jacket and dark trousers with a white carnation boutonniere. Duke Reed served as his broth er's best man. Ushers were Glee son Grimes and Gale Holcomb. Keith Halsey, a brother of the bride, was groomsman. Mrs. Ernest Durre at the organ accom panied E. R. Baker, who sang "I Love You Truly” and “The Lord's Prayer”. A reception followed for 125 guests. The couple will live in Cham bers after a short wedding trip. Out-of-town guests included Mr and Mrs. Wingate, Barbara and Wayne of Tilden and an army friend of the bridegroom's, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thacher of Vir ginia. Mrs. Reed is a graduate of Chambers high school and attend ed Wayne State Teachers’ college. She taught school last year west of Chambers. Mr. Reed attended Chambers high school and served in the armed forces. He is a farmer. Eva Away 30 Years, Feted PAGE Mrs. Eva lying, daugh ter of the late Henry Parks, was the honored guest Sunday when 68 relatives gathered at the Am erican Legion hall at Page for a family dinner together. Mrs. lying had not visited here since she left .30 years ago. Those present from a distance were Tim, Cindy and Tom Bar tak of Omaha; Ira Barnes of Banks, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Har old Parks of Stuart; Mr. and Mrs. Merwyn Parks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Parks and daughter, all of O'Neill: Mr. and Mrs. Bob Parks and family of Scottsbluff; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Parks of Whitman; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Parks and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robinson and daughter. Pam. all of Lincoln; Ralph Parks of South Sioux Cty; Mr. and Mrs. Alva Parks and family of Deloit. Barbara Parks was the young est and Mrs. Fred Nashlund was the oldest present.
