was taken suddenly ill early
Thursday morning and was tak- J
en to St. Anthony’s hospital. On
Friday she was taken to a Nor- i
folk hospital. Mr. Retke ac
companied Mrs. Retke to Nor
folk, returning Friday evening
. . . Mrs. Sarah Sholes was taken
to St. Anthony’s hospital Thurs- ;
day, sufering from a kidney in
fection. She is “some what im
proved.”
RIVERSIDE—Jamie and John
ny Gunter stayed at the Will
Shrader home while their moth- ,
er was in the hospital and con
valescing at the Reverend Hart
man’s home in Ainsworth. Jamie
Gunter had two convulsions ear
ly Sunday morning and was tak
en to the Antelope Memorial
hospital. He was given oxygen. \
His father came Sunday to be
with him. Jamie was “much im
proved” Monday morning . . .
Dennis Sheer had an attack of
appendicitis early Sunday morn
ing and was taken to Plainview
hospital for observation. He was
able to return home that eve
ning. '

er returned to St. Anthony’s
hospital in O’Neill Wednesday. . .
Rev. Harry’ Myers drove to
Norfolk Wednesday, May 1 to
visit Mrs. Clyde Widman at a
hospital there. He was accom
panied by Mrs. Myers and chil
dren. . . Lloyd Hoerle returned
Sunday from St. Anthony’s hos
pital following a siege of pneu
monia. . . Mrs. Don Cameron
and infant daughter, Kathy
Lynn, came home Saturday,
May 4, from St. Anthony’s hos
pital.
AMELIA—Mrs. Clyde Widman
returned home Saturday from a |
a Norfolk hospital where she
had undergone surgery the ear
ly part of last week. . . Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Briggs and son of
Rose and Mrs. Maude Forbes of
Bassett visited Mr. and Mrs.
Heinie Frahm Saturday. Mrs.
Forbes stayed to assist her
daughter, Mrs. Frahm, with her
work for a few days as she
was ill with influenza.
LYNCH— Mrs. Wiliam Wendt
of Gross is a patient in the Sac
red Heart hospital. Mrs. Delbert
Wade Is in the local hospital and
is critically ill - - - Mrs. Bernard
Mahon is ‘'getting along fine
after major surgery in a Nor
folk hospital.
CHAMBERS—Mrs. Sid Honey
well celebrated her 91st birthday
anniversary Sunday at her home.
About one hundred relatives and
friends were present.
EWING—Ed Shobc, who has
spent the winter months at the
Veterans hospital at Grand Is
land, returned to Ewing last week
feeling much (better”.
STAR—Nels Linquist went to
Omaha Friday to visit his wife
who is a patient in St. Joseph’s
