society of the Amelia Catholic
church will sponsor a card party
Sunday evening, May 12, at the
Amelia hall. Guests will play
pitch and pinochle. There will be
a door prize and lunch will be

Wyoming’s Road
Machinery Arrives
AMELIA — The new road
machinery purchased by the
Wyoming precinct arrived here
last week. This includes a patrol
and a snow plow.

Exchange Vows
Calla lilies decorated the altars
of St. Philomena’s Catholic church
in Omaha on Saturday, May 4,
for the wedding of Miss Mary
Jean Miloni, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Miloni
of Omaha, to Patrick E. ("Pat")
Hickey, son of P. V. Hick
O’Neill. Rt.-Rev. Joseph Faso
performed the 9 a.m., double
j ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her fa
ther, the bride appeared in a
1 gown of hand clipped chantilly
lace and nylon over tulle over sat
i in. The lace bodice, with scalloped
sabrina neckline, was outlined
with irridescent sequins and seed
pearls. The sleeves ended in
points. The bouffant skirt of lace
! and tulle that fell into a cathedral
and side tiers of matching lace
and tulle that fell into a lathedral
train. Her fingertip veil was held
i in place with a double-tier tiera
I outlined in irridescent sequins and
j seed pearls. She arried a lavender
orchid outlined with a white
wreath.
Miss Patricia Miloni of Omaha
was her sister’s maid-of-honor.
Miss Catherine Bolamperti of
Omaha was bridesmaid. Little
Miss Nancy Robertson of O’Neill,
a niece of the bridegroom, was
flowergirl. They wore identical
balerina length gowns of nylon
tulle and val lace scrolls on the
full skirt. The bodies had boat
necklines. White lace Cacaro jack
ets with cap sleeves were ■worn
over the pink gowns. Their open
crown pink tulle picture hats were
trimmed with rhinestones. They'
carried nosegays of pink roses and
baby’s breath.
L, 111 1 e Miss noDerison was
dressed identical to the other at
tendants except her gown was
floorlength. Her flowers also
matched the other attendants.
The bestman w-as John Joe Uhl
of O’Neill. Gerald Wills of Em
met, Edward McCarthy, John F.
i Carney and Robert Holsclaw. all
, of O’Neill, were the ushers. Mas
1 ter James R. Sacomat; of Omaha,
1 a cousin of the bride, was ring
bearer. The bridegroom, men at
tendants and the father of the
bride were attired in powder blue
dinner jackets with midnight
blue trousers. Master Sacoman
wore a white dinner jacket and
blue trousers.
Mrs. Miloni, the bride’s mother
wore a Dan Morton original en
semble of silk and cotton sheath
of grey with blue stripes. It fea
tured an empire waist and duster
of matching grey.
Following the ceremony, a
breakfast at Trentino’s cafe was
held for 100 guests. From 2 p. m.
until 4 p. m. a reception at St.
Philomena’s social room for 450
guests was held.
For her wedding trip to Kansas
City, Mo., Mrs. Hickey chose a
brown chiffon print ensemble
with brown linen full coat and
beige accessories. They will live
in Omaha.
The bride attended Omaha
schools and is employed as a legal
stenographer. The bridegroom

was graduated from St. Mary's
academy in O’Neill and was grad
uated from Creighton university
in January. He is employed by the
Mutual Insurance company of
Omaha.
