This was the time set for the hearing ad the formation ad the Stuart Rural Fire Protection Dis trict before the combined boards of Holt and Rock counties with the following board members present: Holt County: Crank, Flood, Landreth, Ernst. Baten horst and Frick el. Rock county Schubert. Carr and Giig The meeting was called to or der by the Chairman Cronk and the meeting was declared open fur discussion A number of both Holt and Rock couthy resi dent: appeared and expressed their pinions a.- to the formation of the district After taking the opinions mto consideration the chairman thereupon called for a vote oi the members ol the combined boards on the establishment of the district with the boundaries a: specified in the petitions pre sented The vote thereon was: In favor of establishment of the District with the original boun daries—all members of the Holt County Board voting AYE: All members of the Rock County board voting NAY Thereupon a discussion vas had concerning the advisability of the establishment of the Dis trict with a change in the boun daries to exclude all of the land lying within Rock County and comprising only Holt County land There also followed a dis cussion concerning the legality of such proposed action, and mo tion was thereupion made and seconded that this meeting be ad loumed and continued until April 30, 1857 at 2:00 P.M., for the transaction of such further the boards. Motion earned, and business as might come before the chairman thereupion declared Lie meeting adjourned and con tinued until such a date and time.
