‘Drive Champ’Contest
Getting Underway
“One hundred 1957 PonUacs
will be given away in a national
'drive the champ’ contest during
the month of April," according to
Robert Krotter of Wm. Krotter i
Co., Pontiac dealer here
"This contest, which requires
the contestant to test drive a
1957 Pontiac and report his im
pression of the car’s performance
on a special entry blank, is open
to everyone licensed to drive,"
Mr Krotter said.
''The purpose of the contest is
to get as many people as possible
to drive the 1957 Pontiac and
find out for themselves about its
remarkable performance.
"Pontiac this year set new 24
hour endurance records. In ad
dition. the car was subjected to
a grueling 100.000 mile contin
uous driving test. Recently Pon
tiac won the Nasear grand na- ;
tional 160-mile beach-road race
at Daytona Beach, Fla.," he
pointed out. “We want the motor- i
ists to have an opportuniy of
testing this outstanding car. If
the winner already owns a 1957 ;
Pontiac, he will be awarded a
1958 model as soon after January
1 as possible.”
Four winners will be selected
from each of the 25 Pontiac zones
throughout the country. Official
entry blanks must be obtained 1
from a Pontiac dealer. Wm.
Krotter Co. is offering additional
prizes locally, as listed in their
ad elsewhere in this issue. The ,
contest close* at midnight April
30. Complete details and entry
blanks are now available at Wm
Krotter Co. in West O’Neill and
Spencer.
