lives at 486 Chester St. Butte,
recently received a super
ior proficiency rating as a tank j
gunner, while serving with the
188 th Airborne Infantry Regi
ment in Germany.
Specialist Hood, son of Onie A. ■
Hood. 1600 Chasta place Reno,
Nev., is assigned to the regiment's
tank company. He entered the
army in May, 1955 and received
aasic training at Ft. Chaffee,
Ark. Hood was assigned at FT.
Knox, Ky, before arriving in
Europe m March 1950.
The 22-yea.--old soldier was
graduated from Butte Public High
school in 1953.
