Zakrzewskis Note 42d Wedding Date Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Zak rzewski celebrated their 42d wed ding anniversary Sunday. Mem bers of the family surprised them with a noon dinner. Present were Mr. and Mrs Paul Zakrzewski and family of Opportunity, Mr. and Mrs Thomas Zakrzewski and family of Star and Mr and Mrs. Leonard Pox and family of Orchard. One daughter, Mrs. William P 6 d a n y , wag hospitalized at Lynch and was unable to attend. However, the Zakrzewskis called on her Monday. Distant members of the family also were unable to attend. The Zakrzewskis were mar ried at St Peter’s Catholic church at Lxxip City February 3, 1915. Sunday Mr and Mrs. Leo Brill and Cinda visited her parents. Mr. and Mrs Louis Kirkland in Atkinson. Butte Livestock Market Butte, Nebr, Auction January 30 The auction was very good 623 head of hogs, 69 pigs were sold in less than 2 hours, 580 head of hogs were sent to Packers in localities where they have no pork. The 200 head of cattle took about the same length of time to sell, but the prices on the light stock cattle (600 lbs. and down) seem to keep advanc ing each week in price, when our butcher cattle market seems to lose about 25c to 50c each week. Our next sale looks to be of light 350 to 500 lb. thin calves and 35 to 50 head of good big cross bred W.F Stock Cows. See you Wednesday. O’Neill News Mr and Mrs. Herbert Breiner and Sherry of Grand Island came Sunday to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. D R Breiner and other relatives. Mr and Mrs. F. S. All of them went to J Cody to see Mr. and Mrs. Gene j Hutchinson, formerly of O'Neill. A Monday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs Francis Belzcr was Mrs. Gene Mudloff of Page Last Thursday guests of Mrs. Hazel Boatman were her daugh ter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs Wilbur Lange and children of Atkinson. Dr Edmund Donohue of Sioux City visited the Robert Devoy and E M. Gleeson homes Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Leon Hendricks and son of Manhattan, Kans., visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hen dricks of Atkinson. Mr and Mrs Ralph Ernst, also of Manhattan visited relatives in and around O’Neill over the weekend. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Esty Nelson were Mr and Mrs. Emil Behrens and Bobby of Nor folk and Dallas Behrens of Fre- i mont. The latter came to get his wife and children, who were staying with the Nelsons while Mrs. Behrens was recuperating from an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Davis and family attended the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur j Bridge in Orchard Sunday. Don Graham and Miss Marjor ie Norman^ of Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. David Maugham of Tilden were weekend guests of Mr and Mrs. Harry Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Don De Costa of Fremont are expected to come to spend the weekend with Mr. and . Mrs. M. J Baack and Rick. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Seymour met Miss Rose Ann Schaffer, a student nurse in Yankton, S. D., in Norfolk Friday. She visited her mother, Mrs. Clara Schaffer, for the weekend. Church Sends Group I To Chambers Meet 1NM AN — The Methodist church official board met in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Tompkins Thursday evening, January 31. Eighteen members were present. Harvey A. Tompkins drove to Lincoln Wednesday, January 30, where he attended a meeting called by Bishop H. Bascom Watts of the heads of various j boards of the Methodist annual conference. On Thursday he drove to Hastings where he at-1 tended a meeting of the con ference Commission on World Service and Finance, and return ed home Thursday evening. The MYF met in the home of Sam Watson Wednesday evening, January 30. Mrs. Horace Sholes and Carol Gaughenbough pre sented the lesson for the evening followed by choir rehearsal. Market Report MONDAY. FEBR. 4TI1 There was a large number of hogs on hand today with a run of nearly 800 head. Top on butchers was $18.55 with the majority of No. 1 and No. 2 hogs bringing from $18.10 to $18 45. Heavier hogs weigh ing from 270 to 300 pounds brought from $17.25 to $17.75. Light weight butch ers on feeder account were bringing from $18.00 to $18.65. Sows sold from $15.25 to $16.50. Weanling pigs brought $13.50 each. We had several consign ments of cattle today on a market that was well in line with prevailing prices. Near ly all classes of cattle were represented with plenty of buyers coming—if yours are ready for market—consign them to our sale on MONDAY.
