There will also' be an exchange of gifts. Convention 1 dims Shown to Auxiliary PAGE — The members of the , American Legion auxiliary held a Christmas party at the Legion hall Monday evening. A covered dish luncheon was served to 31 members. Mrs Edith Davidson of O’Neill showed a film taken at the Legion and Auxiliary national conven tion held at Los Angeles, Calif. The tables were decorated with an unusual and attractive center piece being the main attraction. Mr.- Ethel Waring received the door prize. An exchange of gifts followed the luncheon. Page Entries Win Quiz Competition PAGE — Page entries won the the quiz contest Monday evening at the Wesleyan church when the Page group were hosts to the Elkhorn Valley Holiness youth. Categories were chosen and teams selected to represent the various church groups Misses Marilyn Terrill and Faye Ruth erford represented the Page sec tion. Ida., arrived Monday for a two months’ visit with her sister, Mrs. Bob Cook, and her brother, Char les Simmons of Page. The Page Community club mci Tuesday evening at the IOOF hall for a regular business and social meeting. Plans were completed and committees chosen to carry out their part of the Christmas prt gram arrangements. F. G. Albright purchased the trailer house from Mr, and Mrs Roy Stewart and will take poses sion at once. The Stewarts will move their personal effects to the small home, formerly occupied by his mother, the late Mrs. Hattie Stewart. Members of the Chatter - Sew club were guests of Mrs. Art Grass for their Christmas party on Saturday afternoon. Names were drawn for new secret pals and the last year’s pals were re vealed in the gift exchange. Those whose names were, guessed correctly will be the unlucky ones who will entertain the others at next year's Christmas party. Of ficers elected for the coming year are Mrs. Milo Landreth, presi dent, and Mrs. George Clasey, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Jes se Kelly will be the January hos tess. , Ladies of the Wesleyan Metho dist church gave Mrs. Byrl Baty a pink-and-blue shower at the home of Mrs. Earl Parks on Thursday afternoon. Many gifts were received by the guest-of honor. The board of education at Page has seen fit to add a driver edu cation course with Leigh Cull of Tekamah in charge. This is the first time this course has been of fered and will be open to juniors and seniors this year, but it is ex pected to include the sophomore class later. Lohaus Motor Co., of O’Neill will furnish the car for the driving sessions. Mrs. Carrie Hunter and Mrs. Mary Wolf of Redbird and the latter’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Dales of Ju neau, Alaska, were Thursday guests of Mrs. Hattie Carson and the Harold Kelly family. The vis itors will go South from here and proceed up the West coast en route to their Alaskan home, where they have had employment for a number of years. Dale Wilson, proprietor of O’Neill’s Coast-to Coast store, said the couple will enjoy five-day expense vaca tions at the Biltmore hotel in Palm Springs. Page News The members of the Just-A Mere club were guests of Mrs. Icie Snyder for their Christmas party on Friday. The party be gan with a dinner at noon. Mrs Bertha Reed was unable to be present. Mrs. Jennie French of 1 O’Neill came for the affair. Mrs. Reed expects to entertain the group during January before she | leaves for California. Mrs. Clarence Stevens was the i winner of the low score prize when Mrs. Otto Matschullat was hostess to the members of the, GGG&G club on Friday for an afternoon of pitch. Mrs. Ethel Waring received the traveling award and Mrs. Bert Finley had high score. Mrs. Anton Nissen will entertain at the Christmas party on December 21. Mrs. Kenneth Asher and daughters, Mrs. Calvin Harvey and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Har old Asher and Ronnie were Sun day dinner guests of Mrs. Frieda Asher. Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Asher and theii families were afternoon guests. Perry-Rouse Nuptials I ake Place in Ohio Announcement lias been made of the marriage of S/Sgt. Delbert R. Rouse and Miss Lois N Perry. The marriage took place Satur day. December 1 at 5 p.m., in Canton, O. Mrs Rouse is the daughter of j i and Mrs. Bert Perry of Can ton, O. Sergeant Ruuso, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rouse, is sta tioned at Columbus, O., with the air force. The couple will reside in Co lumbus until Sergeant Rouse completes his enlistment. The newlyweds visited O’Neill relatives last,week. O’NEILL LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maughan and daughter, Mrs. Clarence Joc kens, all of Tilden, were here to visit Mrs. David Maughan, also of Tilden, a patient in St. Anthony’s hospital. Mr. and Mrs. H. J.
