television set at Pinkerman's TV store last month. Mrs. Slater, who was wholly unprepared for

ves $16.00 to $17.50, plainer
kinds around $15.00. Yearl
ing steers $17.25 to $18.50.
Choice fat cows up to $11.50.
High cutters $9.00 to $10.00.
Canners and low grade cut

arrived Sunday, November 25, to
visit at the home of her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Hanlon, and her son-in-law
and daughter, Dr, and Mrs. Hex
W. Wilson, until after Christmas.
Dr and Mrs. Wilson went to Om

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schinost of
Spencer visited Mrs. Rosa Bowers
Tuesday, November 27.
T. Joe Biglin arrived home Fri
day evening from a six weeks’
vacation in various points west
including Colorado, Nevada and
California, where he visited rela
tives.
Mrs. William J. Biglin and her
sister, Mrs. Margaret Boler, re
turned Saturday after being gone
about a month. Mrs. Biglin had
been to Colorado visiting her
daughters and their husbands and
families. In Denver she visited
Mr. and Mrs. John Carroll and
children and in Sterling she vis
ited Mr. and Mrs. Don Berg and
children. Mrs. Boler visited in
Omaha.
Mrs. Floyd Johnson and Linda
visited Mrs. Johnson’s mother,
Mrs. D. R. Breiner Wednesday,
November 28.
Miss Margaret McElvain, a stu
dent nurse at St. Elizabeth’s
School of Nursing in Lincoln
came home Friday evening and
visited with her parents, the
Ralph McElvain's, until Sunday
afternoon. Her brother, Bill, who
is with the anti-aircraft artillery
at Orland Park, 111., was home on
leave two weeks. Margaret drove
him to Sioux City Saturday
morning where he boarded a
plane for his base.
Sunday afternoon guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Marvin Anderson were
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stauffer and
family.
Mrs. John W. Dalton and Earl
were Thanksgiving guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Gerald Hansen.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Davis were
called to Pueblo, Colo., Friday,
November 23, by the death of his
sister, Mrs. Zena Porter. They
returned Wednesday, November
28.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Allen and
Janelle and Rick of Page were
Sunday evening guests of his
mother, Mrs. Mary Dusatko.
Mrs. Marie Goebel of Hoven,
S.D.. returned Monday, Novem
ber 26, after visiting her daughter
and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rod
ney Drotzman and new baby for
a week.

Johnson were evening visitors at
the Alden Breiner home on No

Sunday. Mrs. Elmer Sterns was
recently released from a nine-day
stay at the Lynch hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Hynes and
Lynda had Sunday dinner with
Mrs. George Calkins, afterward
they visited Mr Calkins at the
Lynch hospital, where he was ad- l
mitted on Wednesday.
