O’Neill News Weekend visitors at the Don Petersen home were Mrs. Mary Phoenix. Mrs Mary Petersen and Dana Petersen of Armour, S D Dana will stay and be employed at the Petersen Clothing store The Dwayne Philbrick and Dwight Philbrick families visit ed their father, Ora Philbrick of Stuart, on Sunday. Other visitors were Mr and Mrs Ebby Stout and Mr and Mrs Billy Sitz and families of Bassett. Mr. and Mrs Elgin Ray and Mary were in Lincoln Saturdav for the football game, then spent the weekend at Schuyler with the D. E Nelsons. Rummage sale. Reynoldson of Albion and the Leigh Reynold son family of O’Neill were guests at the Brock Reynoldson home at O’Neill Sunday. Fred Robertson left Tuesday to go deer hunting with his Brock Gillespie of Cody. Wyo. They will hunt at Casper, Wyo. On his return he will visit rela itves at Crookston. Mrs. Fred Robertson left on Tuesday to visit her daughter, Mrs John DeHoogh and family of Sheldon, la. Mr. and Mrs Don Ridgeway of Graybull, Wyo.. are visiting this week at the 1. R. Ridgeway home. Poultry Meeting Manned at Ewing EWING — A poultry meeting will be held at St. Dominic’s hall 1 re Thursday evening, October 18, starting at 8 o’clock. The meeting is sponsored by the Ew ing Co-Operative Creamery. A representative from the Parma feed company will show film strips. There will be door prizes, treats and entertainment. The public is invited, Manager Ray Sedivy said. Mr. and Mrs. George Van Ev ery returned Sunday from a two weeks’ vacation visiting their children at Perry, la., Omaha, Lincoln and Norfolk. Martin - Hanley Nuptials Read in Church Rite St. Patrick’s Catholic church was the scene of the Thursday, October 4, wedding of Miss Catherine Jean Martin, daughter of Mrs. William Martin of O’ Neill and the late Mr. Martin, and Joseph J. Hanley, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Hanley, sr„ of Sinsbury, Conn. Very Rev. Timothy O’Sullivan, church pastor performed the ceremony. Miss Bonnie Burival was solo- [ ist. She sang “Ave Maria," "Pan is Angelicus” and ‘ On This Day.” She was accompanied by Miss Alvara Ramm at the organ. The bride chose a black tailor ed suit with white accessories and wore a white carnation cor sage. Mrs. Robert Shaw was matron of-honor for her sister. She ap peared in a pink tailored suit with blue accessories and her corsage was pink carnations. Robert Shaw served as best man. The bridegroom’s mother was present for the rite. A w’edding breakfast was given at the M&M cafe by the bride’s [ m other. The bride is a graduate of St. Mary’s academy and is employed as a secretary in the Holt coun- j ty assessor's office. The bride groom was graduated from Sins bury high school and is presently a radar technician in the air force, leaving for overseas duty. He was stationed at O’Neill this summer in connection with Pro ject Prairiegrass. Mr. Hanley will go to Japan for a year’s assignment. His bride will remain here with her mother until she is able to join him. Noecker Attends Jaycee Planning Session — Arthur J. Noecker, associate publisher of The Frontier and Nebraska state Junior Chamber o f Commerce youth welfare chairman, Sunday attended a n executive planning session held at. the Hotel Clark in Hastings. Mrs. Noecker and their two crildren accompanied him to Hastings. While there they vis ited the museum. Mrs. Owen Davis Feted — A party was given by the RFF club Monday evening honoring .Mrs. Owen Davis, who is leav ing soon to join her husband in Germany. A gift was presented to her by the club.
