daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. Ray

Rev. Harry Myers and Rev. Vir
ginia Myers officiated at the
double-ring ceremony before an
altar decorated with baskets of |
colorful gladioli.
Mrs. Bruce Grimes sang “Be
cause.” “We'll Walk Hand in
Hand” and the “Wedding Pra>
er,” accompanied by Mary Ellen
Gillette.
Given in marriagi by her fa
ther, the bride appeared in a bal
lerina-length dress of lace and
net over satin with a lace jack
et, full skirt of net and lace and
a net insert in the back. Her bou- i
quet was an orchid surrounded j
by feathered carnations.
Edyth Grimes, cousin of the
bride, was maid-of-honor. She
wore a blue dress of net over
satin with a full skirt in colonial
style. She carried a bouquet of
white mums tied with a blue rib- [
bon Her head piece was of blue
satin.
Dwight Lubken, brother of thej
bridegroom, was bestman. Ushers!

A reception was given by the
bride’s parents in the church par
lors for 112 guests following the
ceremony. The three-tier wed
ding cake was cut by Gretchen
Saxton and was served by Caro
lyn Wintermote, Betty Lou
Hoerle, Jennie Halsey and Viona
Burgett.
For a wedding trip to the Black
Hills, the bride chose a white
lace ensemble.
The bride attended Chambers
high school and is a student at
the National Business Institute at
Lincoln. The bridegroom attend
ed Neligh high school and is a
student at the University of Ne
braska.
The couple will make the*r
home in Lincoln.

AMELIA — Thae marriage of
Miss Donna Rae Peterson, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Pet
erson of Amelia, and Wilford N.
Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. L.
Hatch of Sumner, was solemnized
at 6 a.m., Wednesday, August 22,
in St. Joseph’s Catholic church,
Atkinson.
Rev. Francis Price of Emmet
performed the double-ring cere
mony before an altar decorated
with white gladioli and blue car
nations. Shrimp and white glad
ioli decorated the Blessed Virgin}
Mary altar.

Miles sang with Mrs. William
Witte as organ accompanist.
Appearing in a white lace and
net gown over satin, the bride
was given in marriage by her fa
ther. Her gown featured long
sleeves and a mandarin collar.
Pearl earrings, a gift from the
bridegroom, were her only jew
elry. She carried a bouquet of
white gladioli and carnations.
Mrs. Robert Adair, cousin of
the bride, was matron-of-honor.
She wore a ballerina-length blue
net over satin gown and carried
a colonial bouquet of pink and
white carnations.
Bestman was Robert Adair,
cousin of the bride. The bride
groom and his attendants wore
dark blue suits with white car
nation boutonnieres.
Following the ceremony, a
breakfast was given by the
bride’s parents in their home.
Mrs. Ralph Rees decorated the
four-tier wedding cake, which
was served by Mrs. Paul Johnston
at the wedding dance in Amelia
that evening.
The bride’s mother wore a
navy crepe dress with a corsage
of white and pink carnations.
Mrs. Hatch attended Amelia
and Atkinson schools and Wayne
State Teachers college. She was
employed as a school teacher at
Lexington. Mr. Hatch attended
%he Lexington school and is em
ployed as a farmer.
After a wedding trip to the
Black Hills, they will make their J
home at 1207 No. Linsoln st.,
Lexington.

at St. Patricks
Monday, August 20, at 9 a m ,
in St Patrick’s Catholic church,
Miss Miriam Troshynski, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Troshynski, became the bride of
Erwin Murray, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Murray of O’Neill.
Rev. Timothy O’Sullivan per
formed the double-ring cere
mony.
Ray Bosn, cousin of the bride,
was vocal soloist, accompanied by
Miss Alvera Ramm, who played
the organ.
Appearing in a white floor
length dress of lace and nylon
tulle, the bride was given in
marriage by her father. The gown
featured long, pointed sleeves
and a fitted bodice. The fingertip
veil fell from a headpiece of seed
pearls and lace trim. She carried
a crystal rosary, a gift from the
bridegroom, and an arm bouquet
of red roses.
Mrs. Francis Hershiser was
maid-of-honor and Mrs. Richard
Minton, jr., was bridesmaid. They
wore identical gowns of lavender
and yellow net over satin with
lace jackets, and carried bou
quets of pink and white asters.
Jeannie Hershiser served as flow
ergirl.
Francis Murray, brother of the
bridegroom, was bestman, Ed
ward Murphy, cousin of the
bridegroom, was groomsman.
Ushers were Francis Hershiser,
Richard Minton, jr., Jerome Gal
lagher and Larry Minton. Mi
chael Troshynski and Ronnie
Jansing served the mass. Chip
Murray nephew of the bride
groom, was ringbearer.
Following the ceremony, a
breakfast and reception were
given by the bride’s parents at
their home. The Misses Ccci'in
Peter and Barbara Cunningham
poured. Mrs. Anita Ellston cut the
cake.
Mrs. Robert Lowery took care
of the gifts and Mrs. Francis
Murary was in charge of the
guestbook. Breakfast and recep
tion were served by the ladies
of the Curly Q 4-H club, to
which the bride formerly belong
The bride attended St. Mary's
academy and is employed as an
operator by the telephone com
pany. The bridegroom attended
Si. Mary’s academy and is em
ployed as a plumber by O. E. Da
vidson.
For traveling, the bride chose
a light beige suit with blue ac
cessories and a pink carnation
corsage.
After a wedding trip to the
Black Hills, the couple will re
side on a farm.

in marriage to James McKenny,

Janet Rich of Portland, Ore.,
was bridesmaid and Ted Ozim
inski of Chicago, 111., was best

A wedding dinner followed the
ceremony at the Miller restaur
ant in Baltimore. After a wed
ding trip to Wildwood, N.J., the
couple will make their home at
1101 east Leicester Ave., Nor
folk, Va.
The bridegroom is a dental
technician.
