Entries for Class J are lim ited to boys and girls enrolled in 4-H clubs in Holt county. 2. All entries in this class will clear through the County Agent’s office. All entries shall be made through the local club leader or fair superintendents. 3. Exhibits must represent the exhibitor’s own work accom plished since the last fair. 4. Four-H club members may show in 4-H club class without purchasing an exhibitor’s ticket but an exhibitor’s ticket will be required to exhibit in open class. 5. Only articles mentioned in the premium list will be eligible to receive premiums. 6. No premium money will be paid by the management until the 4-H final reports are received in the County Agent’s office. 7. In case of only one entry, prize shall be awarded on qual ity. 8 All possible diligence and care will be used to prevent loss or injury to exhibits, but the management of the fair will in no way be responsible should loss or injury occur. LOT 1 Individual and Team Demonstrations Wednesday, August 15, 9 a.m. A team demonstration shall consist of two members of the same standard boys’ or girls’ 4-H club in which the record of each member is up-to-date at fair time. Individual demonstrations may be given by any individual in their own project. Demonstra tions should not be less than 10 minutes nor more than 30 min utes in length. Individual dem onstartions not less than 5 min utes nor more than 30. Judges’ questions only will be scored in competitive demonstrations. LOT 3 Livestock Showman Contest Any member showing either dairy or beef animals, swine or sheep, is entitled to enter this contest regardless of placing. Judging will bo done on the basis of ability to fit and show the an imal. Blue, $2; Red, $1.50; White, $1. Four high individuals. All members showing will be judged for showmanship while they are showing their livestock. Finals will be run last to deter mine the winners in each divi sion, 4-H and FFA. Showmanship contest will be set up in swine and sheep divi sion if show warrants. Blue, $1.50; Red, $1; White, 75c. One division only. Special Awards A special herdsmanship award will be set up. In addition purple, blue, red and white ribbons will be given the four high individ uals. Tractor Driving Contest For 4-H members. Judged on proper handling of tractor, safe ty precautions and maintenance. Entries are limited to tractor club members. Contest will be held on Wednesday afternoon. Livestock Judging All livestock will be judged and placed according to the Dan ish system, which is blue ribbon, red ribbon and white ribbon groups. In addition, a purple group will be selected from the blue awards in each class if the judge feels the show warrants. LOT 4 — CATTLE Only two animals can be shown in any class by a club member. Any club member having more will have to choose the animals to be exhibited. Hay and space will be furnished free for the calves owned by club members that are not to be exhibited. Only the calves originally earmarked may be shown. Any class of market cattle may be divided by weight if show warrants. Entries may be made in ad vance or on Monday, August 13, with Henry Wood of Ewing. All animals must be in place and ready to show by 9 a.m.. Tues day. Special Awards The Holt County Hereford Breeders’ Association has arrang ed to give a plaque to the cham pion Hereford baby beef, one to the champion Hereford stocker feeder and one to the champior Herford breeding heifer. It will also provide a cup for the granc champion of any of these classes if said grand champion is i Hereford animal. The Holt County Angus Breed ers’ Association will award plaques to high placing Angus. Breeding Heifers Only heifers that have been tattooed may be shown—must be registered or eligible for regis try.
