side park at Neligh where lunch
was served. The party then went
to the theater for further enter
tainment. Karen received gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Cronin of
Chesterton, Ind., accompanied by
her mother. Mrs. Pauline Noffke,
visited his mother, Mrs. W. J.
Cronin, at the Antelope Memorial
hospital last Thursday evening.
Mrs Martha Hill is vacationing
in Missouri. Her daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Kenneth Hill, and Mrs. Earl
Billings are in charge of Hill's
store during her absence.
Mrs. Art Sanders and Mrs.
Roblcy Sisson, sr., went to Canon
City, Colo., to get her parents,
Mr. and Mrs William Lyons,
who will spend a few weeks at
the home of their daughter, Mrs.
Sanders, and family. Enroute
back to Ewing they called on Mr
and Mrs. Vernon Rockey at Ala
mosa, Colo.

chapter 85 OES session held
Tuesday, June 12. Refreshment

Funk, James Boies, Ralph Munn
and Mrs. Arthur Kropp. Mrs
Brion brought some bouquets of
roses, which were used as the
centerpieces for the tables.

club attended the theathe at Ne
ligh on Tuesday evening, After
the show the group went to the
home of Mrs. Ray Funk where
refreshments were served.

ceremony took place at the Meth
odist manse in O’Neill, with Rev.
Glenn Kennicott, church pastor,
officiating.
The bride wore a dress of royal
blue taffeta with pink and white
accessories. She carried out the
tradition of “something old, some
thing new, something borrowed
and something blue.”
The bridegroom’s parents serv
ed as attendants for the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Staub plan to
make their home in O’Neill.

Ford Money Enables
Addition
LYNCH— A new wing on the
Sacred Heart hospital has been1
started—thanks to money made
available by the Ford Foundation.
Sacred Heart was to receive a
grand of 10-thousand-dollars.
The new wing will measure
31 by 45 feet. The basement of
the addition will be used for
sleeping quarters for the Cath
olic Sisters who operate the hos

The present laboratory, kitch
en, dining room and parlor will
also be remodeled.

Scheduled for a visit to O'Neill
on Thursday, June 28. is the
Lennox Comfort-Coach. It is a
large, traveling educational and
display unit that is touring the
midwestem states
By comparison, the coach is the
size of a huge passenger bus but
is designed especially for this un
usual display. It is fitted with
loud speakers and a large display
area. Featured is a talking robot,
Lennie Lennox. Its purpose is to
introduce and explain new meth
ods of heating and air condition
ing to the public.
