He is serving in the navy. Mr. and Mrs. Hoerle also have a 3-year-old son. GRAVES—Mr. and Mrs Stan ley Graves of Ferndale, Wash., a daughter, Wendy Jo, weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces, born Thursday, May 3. The grandparents are Mr and Mrs. Russel Graves of Fern dale, formerly of Chambers. BOELTER—Mr. and Mrs. Kern Boelter of Craig, a son, Gary Kern, weighing 7 pounds, born Friday, May 4. Mr. Boelter is a brother of Boyd Boelter of O’ GREENWOOD—Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Greenwood of Mira Loma, Calif., a son, Stephen Dewayne, weighing 8 pounds, ix>m Monday, May 12. Mr. Greenwood is a former resident of the Celia and Atkinson com munities. 2 Schools Sign Teachers for Fall RIVERSIDE — School district 116 hold its picnic Wednesday, May 16. Mrs. Melvin Rexin has been hired to teach again this fall. Miss Jeanine Welke and her pupils and folks in the district enjoyed a picnic in the grove at Leo Millers Friday. Miss Lynette Helmricks plans to teach the Riverside school this fall. Other Riverside News Mrs. Anna Miller visited at the Johnny Miller home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Retke visit id at the Bill Fry home a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mont gomery visited at the Grant Mott home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fry and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Napier, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Van dersnick and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Napier and family, were dinner guests Sunday at the Bill Fry home, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fry’s sixth birth day anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Retke and Mrs. Kitty Fry ate Sunday din ner at the Lynn Fry home. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fink and sons of Page were dinner guests ] Sunday at the Bert Fink home. They also called on the Lyiyi Frys. Timothy wont home with his grandmother, Mrs. Kitty Fry, to attend vacation church school this week. Mrs. Kitty Fry and Mrs. Vearl Tuttle entertained the mission ary society at the Vearl Tuttle home Thursday afternoon. Robert Montgomery visited the dentist two days last week. Mrs. Ed Hoag stayed with Mrs. Nell Conner Sunday after noon while Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Schlotman attended the Hurtwistle-Pruden wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Derickson left Friday for Ohio where they will visit Mrs. Derickson’s moth er. mini t in i mi 11 in 111 ill 111 m ii 11 im Mi mm Mrs. Anna Kirwan Dies in Sioux City Mrs. Anna Kirwan, 75, 912 Grandview' blvd., Sioux City, died Friday, May 18, at her home. She had resided in Sioux City 38 years. Rosary rites were held Sunday evening and funeral services were conducted at 9 a.m., Monday at St. Jean Baptiste Catholic church. Burial was in Memorial park cemetery. The late Mrs. Kirwan was born September 18, 1880, in Stratford, Can., came to the United State* in childhood and first resided or a farm near O’Neill. Survivors include: Daughter— Mrs. Elizabeth Over hoi ser ol Sioux City; son—Leonard of Anr Arbor, Mich.; sister—Mrs. Mary Ross of Detroit, Mjeh.; eiglii grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Sick & Injured PAGE—Harold Blain entered the St. Anthony’s hospital Mon day, May 14, for pneumonia treat ment. . Mr. and Mrs. Herben Stevens visited his sister, Mha Effie, who has been at St. An thony’s hospital. Her conditior is "improved.” She Is not able ti go to work. . . Curt Terrill is re cuperating at his home at Pagt after a week's stay at St. An thony’s hospital. . . Tom Knud sen entered St. Anthony’s hospit al Tuesday for treatment for £ heart condition. . . Mrs. Fanny Stewart, who is spending some time in the western states, is confined to her bed at the homi of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Elton Clyde, al Sand Point, Ida. . . Mrs. Nora Henderson is spending some time wdth her son-in-law- and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Kennedy, She is unable to care for herself. Rollie Snell has been on the sick list. CHAMBERS — Mrs. Richard Jarman submitted to surgery at a Norfolk hospital early last week She returned home Sun day. . . Mrs. C. V. Robertson, who has been home from St. An thony’s hospital in O’Nciil for only a few weeks following sur gery, returned Friday for further care and observation. . . Mrs. Bertha Harkens is a patient in St. Anthony’s hospital. . . Mrs. Hen ry Fleck has been staying in Til den for a few days with her mother as her father is a patient i i the Tilden hospital. . . William Jutte returned Wednesday, May 'i8, from the Lutheran hospital following major surgery. . . Jan et Kay, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wintermote, was taken to a Norfolk hospital last Thursday for medical care. Mrs. Wintermote drove to Norfolk Tuesday, May 22, to be present for a blood transfusion. INMAN—Mrs. C. A. Rutledge is visiting in the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. James P. Gallagher and family. Mr. Rutledge is a patient in St. Anthony's hospital. . . Mr. and Mrs. James M. McMahan •pent Friday in Sioux City where they visited their uncle, Henry McKinzie, a patient in the Lu theran hospital there. . . . Herbert Nielsen was released Saturday from St. Anthony’s hospital in O'Neill where he was a medical patient for several days. . . Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Watson left Sun day morning for Omaha where Mr. Watson entered Clarkson hospital for observation. Mrs. Watson will be staying with their son, William, and family. O’NEILL—John P. Berger re turned to his home from Omaha Sunday. He was a patient at St. Joseph’s hospital in Omaha for 10 days. He was treated for a serious heart condition by Doc tor Curnazzio and a heart spe cialist, Doctor Moriace Howard. On the advice of his doctors, he will return for further treatment June 22. . . Little Mark William McNally, 8-weeks-old, of Ains worth was dismissed from St. Anthony’s hospital Saturday. He and his mother, Mrs. Howard Mc Nally, are staying with her mother, Mrs. Christine Williams, for a few days before returning home. EWING — Mr. and Mrs. Earl Billings accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lucts to Grand Is land on Thursday, May 17, where Mr. Billings remained at the Veterans hospital for a checkup. He was able to return to his home in Ewing on Friday. . . . Frank Wilson, who has been ill at his home for several days, Friday was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s hospital in O’ Neill. . . Mrs. Don Ruroede is a patient at St. Anthony’s hospital where she is receiving treatment for a kidney infection. . . Ed Shobe, who has been hospital ized several weeks, is back in Ewing “much improved”. DELOIT—Mrs. Bertha McDon ald is convalescing at the home of her son, Charles McDonald, and Mrs. McDonald of Deloit. . Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Taylor called on Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Cratty Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tomjack went to Omaha Saturday where Mrs. Tomjack had a checkup and Mrs. Ralph Beaudin and two children returned home after spending two weeks at the Tom jack home. , . He is the son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Bur gett ATKINSON—Mrs. Otto Smith was taken by ambulance Sunday evening to the hospital. She suf fered a fall at her home. Arrive for Stay— Mr and Mrs. J. B. Reynoldson of Albion arrived Monday for an overnight stay at the Leigh Rey noldson home. O’Neill News Miss Mary Louise Wilson en tertained at a breakfast and lin en shower in honor of Bonita Muff Sunday morning. The Catholic daughters of America held their May break fast Sunday morning in the KC hall. There were 45 in atten dance. Mrs Charles Fox attended the shower in honor of Mary Lou Conard at the Methodist church in Emmet Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Derickson and Mrs. Jack Hughes called on Jeanette Derickson Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fridley of Ainsworth on Sunday visited Mrs Fridley’s parents. Mr. and Mrs Preston Jones. Susan and Patsy Fridley, who had been staying with their grandparents, returned home with them. James Kurtz of Long Pine and I Howard Kurtz of Rose were 1 Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kurtz Mr. and Mrs. C. R Hill will leave Friday for Hebron where they will visit C. W.
